This campground located in between Rexburg and Idaho Falls in Rigby ("birthplace of television") has 50 sites with water and electric hookups, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, vault toilets, walking trails, swimming in the lake, lots of mature trees for shade, playground, tennis court, volleyball nets, grassy areas, a camp host and gated entry so it feels very secure. All for $15 a night, what a deal!
About half of the sites have concrete pads and the other half have gravel. Almost all of them have some view of the lake. There is a lovely walking trail around the campground with a little stream.
If this campground was not right by the highway, we'd give it 5 stars. We did hear highway noise. The low numbered sites are the furthest away from the highway.
There are different sized sites and some are pull-through. It looks like almost any sized rig could camp here. Maximum stay is five consecutive days.
Cell reception is great! This is what we had:
AT&T - 18.48 Mb download, 14.01 Mb upload - 5 bars LTE
Verizon - 62.10 Mb download, 29.10 Mb upload - 5 bars LTE
T-Mobile - 67 Mb download and 3 Mb upload - 5 bars LTE
Agree with previous review on all counts. Very nice county park, lots of room between sites, nice beach, good for a dog. Not a destination, but a nice stopover.
We were on our way to the Tetons and needed some place to restock supplies and get ready for the National Park.
This county park is only about 15 miles from Idaho falls. Offers 50/30 electric, decent cell coverage, nice level parking pads and water.
This park does NOT have sewer hookups or a dump. The Sinclair gas station right down the road has a dump $5. There are no showers and only pit toilets. The put toilets are in need of a major cleaning.
The road though the park is tight and large boulders to make it exciting to back into spots.
We were here in Aug. and the lake/Park was in full swing. Hundreds and hundreds of people at the lake during the week. Weekend even ramped it up.
This is a nice enough park for a couple of days. The high number spots are right along the highway - lots of road noise but nice lake views.
Small county park, most sites have a view of the lake, all sites are level cement pads with plenty of room. Electric and water only, nice walking and bike path around lake.
Little freeway noise but not bad. Great place for a two day stop over.
We looked around at some of the other rv parks in the area and this was the best choice by far. We stayed on # 38 which is a pull thru site. The only complaint I have is our site was close to US 20 but we ran the A/C and we always run a box fan to sleep so it really wasn’t an issue. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Stopped here on the way from SLC to Yellowstone. Pretty quiet despite the general population at the lake and nearby freeway. Great old pavilion, picnic table and fire pit right on the lake. We’d definitely stay here again.
This pad doesn’t have much shade in the day so your trailer and truck will likely be in the sun but there are plenty of trees nearby and the shade of the pavilion on the lake is the perfect spot for reading a book and relaxing.
We found this nice county park on our way to Yellowstone Summer of 2019. Flat concrete pads with water and power hook-ups. We went end of June, so 35 dollars for this park was a good deal.
We returned to Yellowstone (yeah, we like it there!) Summer of 2021 and this time we scheduled 3 days there to just relax and allow our Godson some lake time... which he had a blast.
Staff was super friendly and had incredible camp hosts!
Happy RVing and Camping all!
We stayed one night on the way to yellowstone in our class A 36’. Entry into park was very tight with speed bumps. Difficult to get over bumps with tow car. Park placed boulders in campsites to stop people from pulling on grass. One employee told us many people have damaged their RVs from hitting rocks. The park is beautiful city has spent a lot of money on park and it would be perfect with a few modifications . Also note there is no dump station . Electric and water only.
We stayed one night on the way to yellowstone. Only 2 rvs . Very tight entry with speed bumps. Beware of boulders throughout park. City decided to place boulders in RV park to keep people off grass. Employee told us many people have damaged RVs hitting rocks while parking in spot. Nice contret pads, but they are not level. Electric and water only.
The Campground Is Mica And Tidy And The Concrete Pads Are 👍🏻👍🏻 I Have A Teardrop Camper And I’m Not Sure How A Bigger Trailer Would Have Backed In This Spot With A Full Campground . I Would Stay Here Again For $30 I Do Wish There Were Showers Even If They Were Pay Showers Otherwise , Ok For A Stopover my Verizon service works great !
