This roadside boondocking area is nestled between the Dolores River and the Ryman Trailhead access to the Colorado Trail. There's plenty of room for whatever size rig you have. It's clean with plenty of flat space for tent camping. There is no potable water (you can filter or boil water from the river) or restroom. It's wide open to the highway, so noise is an issue.
I recommend going 500 feet south and camping at the Ryman Trailhead instead, plenty of room there too, but it's protected by a hill and trees so road noise is not as much an issue. The road in is rough, but, thankfully short. At the end of the road is a shady camp with a fire ring. There is no potable water (filter or boil water from the Ryman Creek) and no restroom at the trailhead.
I didn't have cell service until I drove thru Dolores or Rico.
Photos are at the Ryman Trailhead.

We’ve stayed here a couple of times and really enjoyed it. There is room enough for several campsites, and pretty much any size rig can get in. It’s right next to the river, and a short drive to Dolores for any resupply needs. The only negative is highway noise, but it’s really not bad. ,
