Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on December 22, 2022This is a very nice campground with 300 sites from tenting to long term camping. Some long term sites even have decks to park next to. Water slides and pool areas during the summer. Many sites have concrete pads, few with 50 amp service. Our site was 30 amp with water, not much grass, no sewer but dump site convienently located near the entrance. Nice trees and open areas for playgrounds. Easy to get onto highway 95.

This place has the most amazing fire pits you’ll ever see! It’s a beautiful campground, very big rig friendly, large sites, some shaded some not. Picnic tables in each. A lot of seasonal sites here and activities for the family. My only complaint is a 3:00 check in time with a $10 per hour charge if you arrive before that time!

We have been camping at Wawaloam for years, and just became seasonal campers in 2022. In our opinion there is no better campground in New England, let alone Rhode Island. The Smith family and their staff are friendly, wonderful people who go all out to make your camping experience here a great one. Like any good campground, there are rules, all designed to keep everyone safe and happy. Abide by the rules and you won't have any problems. There are activities for young and old alike, (and everyone in between) and the 4th of July fireworks, Halloween weekend, and Christmas Festival of Lights are amazing. (The campground closes at the end of October, and the Festival of Lights is a seasonal stand alone event) Most of the sites are very large, especially compared to other campgrounds that we have been to, the store is well stocked, and they have the best ice cream and snacks. The campground is always kept clean. Friday night dinners at the pavilion are as good as, if not better than any of the local restaurants, (They even have site delivery for dinner) and there is a great coffee bar at the store, with coffee beans supplied by a local roaster. Be careful with your mobile navigation maps. I have heard that some will give you bad directions and send you to the back of the campground where there is no entrance. I believe that if you put in the actual address, and not the campground by name, you will be ok.
