Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 28, 2023We were looking for some place close to Rexburg that was available for boondocking With our class C. This was an awesome spot, flat easy road to navigate, plenty of flat spots with fire pits and so beautiful next to the river. We will definitely stay here again!

This place is busy with local people. Mostly younger 20 somethings. But it’s a decent place to stay for the night and it’s free. No water. No power.

Easy to find, great spot on the river. On the weekend there was a lot of people for day use floating the river. Very fun with paddle boards. Quiet at night, spacious.

Big rig friendly! We stayed here in our Class A 36ft motorhome. It was beautiful. Even during the week though, there are a lot of locals that come for the fishing, so to get a good spot, I suggest coming before the evening.
We saw horses, deer, little minnows...It was perfect for what we needed.

What’s at the campground? Pit toilets (uncared for and became the trash can for locals)
The PROS - you’re on the Snake River. You are able to walk to the front of the campground and put in your SUP board, kayak, tube etc in the river and float back to the campground. It is approximately 1 mile long and takes about 1 hour. You can also put in at the boat ramp for a shorter 30 min trip if you have little ones that won’t last the full hour. It is a great float we did multiple times throughout the week.
The CONS - Highly active area. Cars drive through at all hours. Sheriffs drive through twice a day. People set up tents in the woods and leave their dogs there all week to bark. Entire campground is neglected. Locals party till 2am on weekends. People shooting guns at the boat ramp at night. Locals have no respect for your site, more than a dozen times people would walk right up to our door, dogs loose in our site. Trash left everyday. People would leave non trash items like river tubes, paddles, shoes, flip flops, etc.
It is a highly active place because of the river access and we never felt unsafe. There was someone else camping every night but I would recommend this as a 1-2 stay and during the week.
How many per site? There are several clear sites with fire pits but we did see people pulling into the tall grass in the center, one guy even brought his lawn mower and cleared a spot in the tall grass.. Access for any size rig.
