“a wonderful spot for nature enthusiasts”
Whether seeking solitude or a variety of activities, this is a wonderful spot for nature enthusiasts. Enjoy birds, flowers, wildlife, hiking, biking, horseback riding or four wheeling. Experience floating on the water in a canoe or paddle boat or bring your own fishing boat. Fish from shore, our private dock, or by boat. Over winter you can ice skate, ice fish, cross country ski, snowmobile, or toboggan downhill. Game includes white tail deer, mule deer, pheasant, sharp tail grouse, fox, coyote, and waterfowl. Enjoy song birds, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, raccoon, turkey, geese, and many various species indigenous to the area. If you're lucky you'll see the northern lights dancing across the sky and hear the yipping and howling of coyote or fox. Exploration during the day will reveal many teepee rings within easy walking distance of the cabin. We've enjoyed sharing our passion for the great outdoors with our family and friends and are now offering lodging and hunting packages. From honeymooners to hunters - experience northwest North Dakota and our abundance of beautiful landscapes, friendly people, and natural resources. We are just minutes off the Lewis and Clark Trail and the beautiful Lake Sakakawea. The cabin is also located within fifteen minutes of three golf courses, one being the well-known Links of North Dakota, rated 57th in Golfweek Magazines 100 Best Modern Courses of 2003. Visit historic Ft. Buford and Ft. Union west of Williston or consider paddlefishing at the confluence of the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers during the spring, a rare experience, and all within approximately a one-hour drive. Bow hunting packages are available now. Hunt from a tree stand or blinds. Our grass prairies and wooded draws are home to many white tail and limited mule deer populations.
