Owner said to use site 3. He”ll hang a bag on it?? No bag. After finding site and waking up neighbor to move truck which was in site. Continued hooking up sewer and electric found out there’s no water. Knocked on owners door and rang bell in office. No response. Moved to site seven. Bathrooms and showers are a joke! Discussing! Grass burrs everywhere, broken glass and Ferrell cats. Run away and never look back!!!!
I would never stay here again. The electrical is in need of extreme update, everybody just parks where they want, had to dig out my sewer connection.
Very friendly people. Sheltered site (even during a bad thunderstorm!). Watch out for black widow spiders in the restroom! Use google maps or GPS as the roadtripper directions are wrong.
Small older "rustic" rural RV park; good enough for an overnight stop on a long trip. Not fancy nor particularly developed. Gave us a chance to charge batteries and spend a night off the road, which was all we needed that evening. The park appeared to be mostly populated by long-terms, though it was not full. We did not meet any of them. The person who took our reservation was nice. And a different person checked us in who was friendly, helpful, walked us to our site and made sure we could hook up without issues. Getting past a tree at the entrance was a little tricky, but we had no scratches. Looks like they have to trim that one regularly; good if you happen to arrive after that. Apparently some of their power pedestals may have problems, so they carefully choose a site for us with a good 50 amp plug. The site was grass and gravel. They honored Passport America for a discount. Would stay again if the same circumstances presented themselves, but we personally would not consider this to be a destination to stay for any length of time. Some of that is not the park's fault--there's just not a lot to Post, TX. There is a some traffic noise from the highway, but it dies down at night.
From the RV park one can walk to a nearby (unaffiliated) Mexican restaurant, though that restaurant is only so-so. Late in the evening in Post, there is not a lot from which to choose. BYO groceries and stay in your rig for a better dining experience.
