This is a newer Walmart next door to Cabela's. There is ample level gravel parking next to the Walmart parking lot. The store is very clean, there is lots of open space and very easy access. The Cabella's new store as a $5 dump and fresh water station.
06/06/2020 Update: I have returned to this location every year and things have changed. For a while there were a few locals living next to Walmart in the gravel lot and their trash was everywhere.
-Cabella's closed the dump station
-Walmart parking is limited to 24 hours
-You can't park in the gravel undeveloped lot next to Walmart
-Panda Express now exists
-Maverick now exists. Consistently best fuel price over the nearby Love's and Flying J. Has RV lane (easy in/out)
A car show down the road had a firework show we watched before bed. Lot was mostly quiet, level. Felt safe.
Allows overnight stay. Sign in lot specifies R.V. parking max 24 hours. Generally quiet spot, however, be aware that tractor trailers will park on side road on north side of lot and they will run their trucks ALL NIGHT long. Hubby fell asleep before they parked (and amazingly stayed asleep). I was unable to sleep being that close to running trucks. Do yourself a favor and don’t park all the way on north side.
Just added this review to say there’s 3 bars of LTE with AT&T at this location.
This Walmart was great for parking and getting some rest. We were left alone. Nice area at the back for walking the dogs. Nearby Maverik gas station is 24hrs even during pandemic. Nice Walmart and Cabelas is next door.
Stayed the night on my way East. Spoke to manager and was told stats of 24 hours on the West side of the parking lot were allowed. Spoke to a local in an Airstream trailer, he’s local and goes between Walmart, Cabelas, and his job site. Nice and quiet.
At this point in time, this Walmart is located on a non busy road with easy on/off access from the freeway. The area at some point will be developed.
Signs clearly state that a 24 hour stay is fine.
I arrived about 6:30 pm. Parked at the garden end of the lot. Newer Super Walmart very nice inside. About 5 RV’s here at 9:30. Fairly flat Parking lot. Not a busy area. No nearby businesses. Maverick gas c store down the road on way back to I-90, has diesel for $5.59.
Small lot that has signs posted no overnight parking for RVs. We bought some supplies and it was very tight getting in and out.
