An institution in Porter County packed with hungry, happy rib aficionados. Full slabs ($20.99) or half slabs ($14.99) are presented with good selection of sides like fresh hot waffle fries, onion rings by the stack, coleslaw and an enormous selection of beers. Wagner's also has a fine reputation for its grilled filet mignon, rib eye and half-pound hamburgers. Homemade soups change daily. Eli's cheesecakes for dessert.

This place may be off the beaten path, but the food is out of this world good. Incredible fresh produce (=fried zucchini), and the ribs are simply astonishing. True to their word, fall-off-the-bone tender, expertly flavored and grilled to perfection. Also, the macaroni is in the most thick, intense white cheddar sauce I've ever had (what panera's wants to be when it grows up). Great beer list and truly friendly, helpful staff make this place a MUST.
Sat down for lunch and had to leave because we didn't realize it was 21 and up.
