Stopped here for an evening on the way to NM. The visitors center offers free overnight parking for 24 hours. There were 3 other large RVs and a couple vans in the car parking. Lot is flat, easy to maneuver with our truck and 34 TT and there was free water which was a plus. Quiet night, good service on T-Mobile and Verizon.
Stopped here on our way to WA State. Very quiet, only one other RV staying overnight and free potable water. Black dump is $10 but we gladly paid it.
As the other reviewers have said you are allowed to stay 24 hours without a charge, potable water is free though there is a limit to how much you can take, I know it’s higher than 75 gallons. The dump does charge $10. We enjoyed a quiet night in the park once traffic died down around midnight. Height limit is 13’6” as you past through the entry gate. My 5er, had no problem, it’s 13’6” tall.
Quiet, clean restrooms that are open all night, good security lighting, fenced dog area, and good information about the local area. Thanks Poncha Springs!!!
This was a nice overnight parking location for us in the camper van. The restrooms were open and clean. The dump station is a $10 charge but looks nice. Freshwater is available for free. There were about five other people parked when we stayed. Dog Park area is available. Minimal highway noise.
A great spot for a layover day. We needed to get some errands done (laundry and grocery shopping) so we came late morning, ran our errands, and stayed the night. Laundry in Salida was nice but expensive, easy grocery shopping with Safeway and Natural Grocers. Dump is $10, free freshwater fill (limit 150 gallons), fenced bark park, quite a few RV spots. We parked as far from the road as we could and weren’t really bothered by road noise. Great option for those passing through!
This is great place for overnight. Some long spots for trailers and many spots for smaller units. Camp under lights or where there are no lights. Restrooms are open ND clean even when visitor center is closed.
Wow we pulled up about 6.30pm. no one in sight at all. Even though the main road is next to where we parked our RV you couldn't hear the traffic. I would definitely stay again
