“in the gateway to the northwest”
The quiet Pocatello KOA is surrounded by mountains - perfect for skiing and snowmobiling in winter and rock climbing and hiking the rest of the year. Then soak your aching muscles in Idaho's world-famous Lava Hot Springs, only 30 minutes away. Pocatello's Ross Park features a pool and sporting activities and also hosts the Pocatello Zoo. Visit Idaho State University and the Museum of Natural History on campus. This KOA offers grassy, shaded Tent Sites with fire pits and up to 82-foot-long, extra-wide pull thrus. Or stay in a Cabin! Year-round monthly sites available, as well as propane. Relax, play horseshoes or enjoy ice cream. This is a great overnight stop on your way to Yellowstone National Park, and it's 2 1/2 hours from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Stay a night or two as you travel to/from the Calgary Stampede in Alberta, Canada. Gasoline is available on-site. Max pull thru: 82 feet. Your hosts: Rose V. and Tom D.
Good for a quick one nighter - clean and with mostly level gravel sites under the trees (shade matters). Nothing I like for a long haul but a good stop Enroute. Staff was super friendly.
Site was very dusty and in-leveled. Reserved for a 30amp and was sent to a 50amp, so was forced to buy that adapter. Majority of the sites are for RVers except for a few tents. site has high prices convenient store when town isn’t too far away with major brand stores and banks. Site also has gasoline and propane to purchase if needed. The dog gated park is too close to the road and signs are posted all over the park of “no dogs on the grass” when many people who occupied the grass had dogs. They should remove the signs and ask campers to be responsible of their own dogs just like all the other KOA sites.
