Great little campground, hidden away from the noise and lights. Nice quiet place to spend the weekend.

Nice little campground with all the amenities. Don’t be fooled by the drive past all the storage facilities. Once you get to the site, it’s a sweet little oasis with lovely nature and wildlife views. Feels very secluded. Friendly staff and easy highway access. Mostly quiet, with an occasional train passing through.

A little bit of puffing is to be expected when you are advertising your business. However, these people took this to a whole new level.
This is from their website: Overlooking the Portneuf River and Batise Springs, our RV park offers a quiet, secluded place to park your RV for the night or the week. Bordered by farm ground and a great riparian zone prime for bird watching, you're sure to enjoy your stay!
As I write this, I am looking out at the gorgeous view of the strip mine and fertilizer plant. I have had extraordinarily little sleep, because the “quiet, secluded place”, includes train tracks, which trains run on, blowing their horns, all night long. The RV faces a cabin, which appears to be abandoned, and there appears to be a dairy processing plant behind that. To get into the RV park, you follow the signage, which guides you in, between, and around the giant storage units, half full of RVs.
You are in the middle of a large storage unit! All of the pictures included on the website are tight shots, and only taken from one direction, with the 20 foot drop off above the “river”, which, if you go to the edge and look down, is about 3 feet wide and covered in green slime, in the background. We have yet to find the Batise Spring. We tried looking it up, but the only thing we found, besides this storage unit masquerading as an RV park, is a fish hatchery across town.
Here is a list of all the problems we encountered during our one week stay:
1. This park states it gives discounts for Good Sam, giving the impression that they are a member of Good Sam. They even asked if we had any memberships and, when I said, “Yes, Good Sam”, he said, “Great! I will apply that discount”. They are not members. I spoke with Good Sam. Had we known this, we would have been more cautious about paying for a week, sight unseen
2. As I stated, the “river” is barely existent, 20 feet below a drop off, and covered in slime. They have “reviews”, which could not possibly be real, talking about the “walking trails along the creek” and “lot’s of birds”. The only walking trail, which is along to top of the 20-foot drop-off, is marked “No Trespassing”. Today is day 5. We have seen one bird. We have seen him/her three or four times, but it is the same bird.
3. There are NO picnic tables. This is mind-boggling, as all their photos, including the one on my receipt, sent to me by email, show picnic tables at every single site. Did they photoshop in the picnic tables? I was seriously disappointed, although it may not have mattered because of the next issue.
4. When we got here, we set-up the RV and ran to the market. While we were gone someone brought their dog over and left a huge, steaming, pile of dog crap on our grassy area, near our door. I have been waiting for them to clean this up, as my dogs are not with me, and I do not work here. On day 3, I forgot it was there and stepped in it. Today, Day 5, they mowed the grass while we were gone, but they did not pick it up. So now there is dog crap in a massive streak across the lawn outside our door.
5. The laundry room, with one washer and one dryer, has a leak in a pipe. No one has bothered to address this, beyond placing a bucket under it. Last time I did laundry, it was overflowing.
6. There is no water pressure at our site. We thought someone had turned our water off and kept checking it. I noticed that other RV-ers are using the one (One!) shower on site, so this must be a problem at other sites, since there is sewer at each site.
7. The “Best Wi-Fi is 50 states”, according to a supposed “review” on their website? You get kicked off, on average, every 25 seconds. I timed it and then ran an average. While I realize that great Wi-Fi is a rarity in RV parks, this is important because I chose this park based on the Wi-Fi review. This Wi-Fi was not even “okay”. I went to the office and asked “Tabby” what the problem was with the Wi-Fi. She did not look straight at me, and mumbled, “What? Well, that’s weird. I’m not having any problems. I have Internet”. Good to know, Tabby, thanks!
8. Because of either the strip mine or one of the factories, every once in a while, we get a lovely lung-full of something that smells vaguely like Sulphur. At first, I thought that this was because of the on-going wildfires, but then I found that same complaint on another review site.
The false advertising that is being committed by these people should not be allowed. Unless you are just so tired you cannot drive one mile further, you should skip this park. Of course, even if you are too tired to drive, the trains are going to keep you up anyway.

Very small, quiet, clean park! Large space between rigs. Asphalt and level sights as well nice area of well kept grass at each site. No picnic tables. We had a great view of the riparian area and Portneuf River. Within the first two hours we saw mallards, geese, red tailed hawks, egrets, teal and beaver. As well as many other birds. Easy trail to riparian area.
I only heard the train once, wi-fi was so so but we’ve had worse. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely stay here again.

First the actual “park” itself. It’s a small park with only pull throughs it’s a bit tight to get into some of the sites. Our site was just level enough. The staff was friendly and the hookups work great. Very affordable laundry. Very good signage to get to the park. Now for the rest of it. The area is surrounded by storage yards, in the view of a mine and all its smoking, steaming machinery. On the other side is a stream filled with pond scum. It was one of the strangest areas we ever stopped aside from a rest area. It was a bit surreal. That being said, I think that the park is the very best it can be considering it’s location, size, and circumstances. Good for a night or two, but no place you’d want to hang around. Oh, and a train.

Love this park, great views and only a couple miles to town for a dinner. Lots are good size, except pulling into site we had to go on grass a bit as its a tight turn into the pull thru site which I will fit a 75 foot rig. Great water pressure, full hookup with 50 amp service, sits high on hill overlooking a small brook/river. Park owner was great and very informative. Price was 52 dollars a night with tax of 8% total. Bathrooms clean, train nearby but isn’t that always the case???
