Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on April 23, 2024The $12.00 rate reflects 1/2 price due to my Senior Access Pass. I came here on a Saturday and luckily there were two spots open. Some have sewer but mine is just water and 30 amp. They do have a dump easily accessible upon exiting the camping area. The sites are along a loop, however out the side there are wide areas that are open. 32 sites total. There are tent sites as well but I didn't see numbers for them. They have a gatehouse and I was able to use my credit card.
The trees keep the sound down and the River sparkles at about 200 ft from my RV. Sites 1-16 are on the Columbia River side and have a view of trees and some river. The other sites 17-32 have a view of grass, field, gentle hills, road and a distant train.
I was looking for a COE site along the river in Oregon and found this one which is on the border across the river in Washington State. I saw it on the UltimateCampgrounds.com site and didn't even realize it was going to be in WA. Sunday, mostly everyone left and the park is almost empty. They have one shower, one washer and one dryer. They look a bit beat but it's likely because it's older.

This is a pleasant and well maintained Corps of Engineers campground adjacent to the Columbia River. Trees block most views of the River from the campsites. There is some noise from passing trains and Interstate 82 but not too bothersome. The sites farthest from the check in station have the most highway noise. There is a nice day use area with a swimming beach west of the campground (separate entrance from Christie Road). There is an interesting bike/hike route that takes you to an abandoned railroad tunnel. As you exit the campground take two right turns onto Engineers Road. Follow the road to I-82 and pass through the tunnel under I-82. Continue straight for a short distance and enter the abandoned railroad tunnel blasted out of the rock. The tunnel is roughly 100 yards long. When you exit the tunnel there will be a great view of McNary Dam. A flashlight would be helpful, but is not necessary. The signage to the park from highway 14 is not good. It is easy to make a wrong turn and end up at a dead end. Rate reflects senior discount.

Staff was nice and they were very apologetic about the broken septic, soon to be fixed. The sites were very roomy and clean. A good place for kids and a big playground. Our site had a big grass area with trees.
No river views and train in the distance, but it wasn't too bothersome.

We stay here once a year for a family gathering in Tri-Cities. I love the shade trees especially in this heat. Close to the river and easy access to the campground. There is road noise. Sites are spaced nicely. However, no privacy.

This campground is well maintained. Has two host and gate attendants. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.
We were in site 3 and had a very nice view of the river. Most sites are pull thru with only a couple backin sites. Our site included water and electricity. I believe that have the sites are FHU and half are water electricity. There is also a dump station.
Bathrooms are a little dated but functional and clean. Shower is located in bathrooms. There is also one washer and dryer in the bathhouse.
Even though the campground was full, on a Saturday night in April, it was very peaceful. The park also has a playground for kids.
When entering the park, be careful on what road you turn in. GPS took us down a dead in street. Lots of fun trying to three point turn a 30' trailer. There is a sign for the park where you turn. We just turned one street too early.

Stayed here for one night. A bit off of the highway so noise was no really an issue. Pull thru sites that are really easy to get in and out of. Nice restrooms. Power and water at site. Dump available at exit. Really great for taking walks in the evening. A Gem of a find. Price was great.

Previous reviews captured a sense of campground. I don't know if it's usually this full on a Wednesday (it may be all the people on the road due to the eclipse) but it's full mid-week. I reserved ahead.

This is a beautiful, quiet campground with a lot of trees. The bathrooms were nice and clean with flush toilets and a shower. The camp hostess was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. There was much to explore but only had a night this trip. With water, electric and a decent phone and data signal, it was a great stay.

Other reviewers comments of the park are true to point. However, rates have gone up since last reviews. Website has the rates we paid. $23 for a electric/water site but nothing but full hook-ups sites were available. We were lucky to find a site here on a Friday night.
