Gold Country Campground and Resort

This area of California is absolutely beautiful. All in all the park is nice and clean it was as was as expected. Check in was easy, staff was friendly. One tip; when you check-in don’t pull up to the stop sign, this is the entrance and exit and if you park there to check in it’s tough for anybody to get around you, I did this because quite a problem. There’s a big parking lot to pull into a makes it a lot easier for everyone. The spots are a little tight, long and narrow, but not unmanageable. We stayed in the back of the camp area (site 64), the sites in back are terraced, and ours had a view of snow capped mountains.

This is a good place for families. Lots of things to do for kids. Bring drinking water. Dont rely on the cable. Very clean and nice staff.

Me and my husband has been to gold country atleast 7 times in the past 3 months that's how much we enjoy it and also have future dates scheduled. We find at our arrival a nice and warm welcome from whomever is working at the time, I don't think we even came across one that wasn't, the host Brian and Maria couldn't be any sweeter and accommodating to your needs. I believe some of the bad reviews came from people that were the type that just wants a refund ( a free ride) even though they seen pictures of the camp they oddly thought it was fine then expected more...some people are just hard to please. To all the staff at gold country we think your doing a wonderful job and this is now our home away from home 🤗🤗

Price For back-in RV was 89 + A Fee 92total. Great Camping spot. Bathrooms and showers were very clean! Friendly staff. Campsites are very nice and roomy. It’s a little out of the way but worth the trip.

Overall a nice campground. There are fun activities for kids, especially when hot. The campground offers a water park and pool. The RV sites are relatively level; I needed about 2.5" adjustment to my passenger side to get level. Sited are road gravel and are nestled amongst the pine trees.
We had full hook up available at 50 amps. The sewer connection is kind of funky, see the photo. Our trailer sewer connection is just high enough to drain appropriately as long as you walk out your hose. Water pressure was sufficient and water tasted fine.
Bathroom and showers are available and clean. See office for a code to the door. We did not try the wifi or cable connection. Starlink had some obstructions due to the surrounding trees. We achieved 3 to 135 MBPS with slower speeds in the afternoon and faster speeds in the early morning. I was able to stream a few shows at night without issue.
Verizon would float between 3 bars LTE and 2 bars 5G UWB.
