Smoky Mountain Brewery is part of the Copper Cellar Family of Restaurants. The first location was opened in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Since opening the first location in 1996 the restaurant and brewery combination has been a fun place to take the family with its fresh mountain micro-brewed beer plus traditional pizza, one-of-a-kind subs and sandwiches.

Everyone I talked to said this was the place to go. They also have breweries in 4 other Tennessee towns, and serve their beer at nearby restaurants like Calhouns. It's a two story building with a wide open lodge-feel to it.

I had the Smokies burger and thought it was pretty good. It had some BBQ sauce on it, and some bacon. The wheat brew I drank was light and decent, too. They've one a bunch of awards you can see first thing when you walk in.

The Smoky Mountain Brewery is a favorite not only for tourists but locals in the Pigeon Forge area. In fact it is frequented so often by locals, it is typically referred to simply as "the Brewery."

In the few times I had the chance to go, I had the Ole' Smoky burger (smoked cheddar cheese, bacon and bar-b-que sauce) and the Philly Cheesesteak. Both were delicious as were the sides.

An extra bonus of the Brewery is its location. The Forge Cinemas, the Smokey Mountain Popcorn Factory, Firehouse Golf (mini-golf), and more are all located in the same plaza.
