This was a second choice so we were extremely happy when we arrived and found such a great campground. Located on the Tenn-Tom Waterway, our waterfront site was perfect for watching several barges and dozens of bass boats traverse the river. The campground itself offers sites with both electricity and water, and several sites also had sewer hookups. The campground is full of tall pine trees, and each shower house has a washer and drier. Even though we could hear the wind high in the trees, our campsite remained fairly calm. We would most definitely stay here again.

Nice big lots with concrete pads, some are reservable others are walk up or first come only. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed on camp host site very large lot with many very tall pines and various hard wood, plenty of wildlife and good fishing, more birds than I could identify.

I don’t see how anybody could give this campground a bad review. It’s one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, well kept, bath houses sparkling clean, super nice and helpful camp attendant, overall a beautiful park. All sites are large, not jammed up against the neighbors, level paved parking for the camper with bordered gravel area in front, 2, tables, campfire ring with attached grill, regular bbq grill, good water pressure, no power fluctuations. Paved walking trails with wood bridges connect with different areas of the park.

We were able to score a water site with sewer hookup. They only have a few but we stayed in November so the campground wasn’t crowded. Nice and quiet. It’s cool seeing the tugboats going up and down the river. I’d definitely recommend this place for this time of year.

Very nice campsite on the Tenn-Tom Waterway near Pickensville, AL. Mostly spacious sites with decent distance between. Some sites on the waterway where you can watch the barges pass by is nice! The only complaint is that rules aren’t enforced. Some people decline to obey parking rules by parking completely on the grass. Some keep their boats on campsite alongside their camper where they should not be parked. I would suggest an additional rule be added to their flyer: “Parents please educate your children to NOT impede on other campers’ campsites!” Some children insist on riding and strolling through others’ campsites, which is against camping etiquette.

The grounds were well kept, shower house clean with plenty of hot water, but dated. Lots of room for biking/running. But I was disappointed to find that each laundry room in each loop was locked and unavailable. There are no close town nearby. I would sure like to see the main office reconsider the decision to close all laundry facilities.

We stayed here for 4 nights in late May of 2023 (are here right now!) - our price reflects the senior (geezer) discount. We are full-time and had forgotten about Memoria Day. I was having a super hard time finding a site to get us through the holiday weekend and had initially reserved one site for two nights, then another site for two nights. The camphost was able to switch us to the second site for all four nights - super helpful & much appreciated! Site 69 has a site behind (backside of our trailer), but none in front of us. There is a large sycamore and grass-filled area in front of us, so lots of room and fireflies at night. Loads of long sites all over - the ones around the little lake are very cool, as well as the riverfront sites. Had I known this place would be so pretty and nice, I would have reserved a riverfront site after the holiday weekend.
Follow your GPS when you make the turn off of the main road - no sign to tell you to turn right though the permanent trailer and lakehouse area.

We were camping here with a group of other campers that did cargo trailer conversion campers. Very nice park. We enjoyed watching all the barges go by in the waterway. Enjoyed meeting new friends in the group. Park was quiet. Our nightly rate was the senior lifetime pass discount.

Don’t tell anybody about this place. It has 176 campsites and 27 of them had occupants. Great river sites. Very wide open lots of distance between sites. Shower houses were very well kept. Caught a few fish saw lots of birds, squirrels groundhogsand deer. Most sites are shaded. We will be back again.
