Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on May 01, 2023Clean campground. Bathroom and showers well maintained. Camp hosts were very nice. Right next to the lake.
Water was high so not much beach front but great for families.

We were here for a week. The campground was packed on the weekend and a little noisy at night. During the week it was quiet. The site we were in was next to the lake but up above it and there was no direct access to the water unless you crawled down a cliff. I felt the sites were spacious but there was no privacy. When sitting outside the trailer, you could see and hear your neighbors clearly and they could see and hear you. Good thing our neighbors were nice. The bathrooms were clean enough and they were getting a lot of use. It is a very pretty area, but the wind blew hard the entire time we were there and limited our time playing on the lake.

Well, not really “chill” since there was a heat wave when we stayed. We had the first spot coming in which is a double spot (1,2). We thought it would be weird having our site next to the road but there really was no traffic. Added bonus is there’s an easy trail just across the road. Juniper is the last campground in Rockport State Park so there’s no through traffic once the day use people leave. There were a ton of dogs, not all were on leash, unfortunately. The bathrooms were clean and actually smelled good. The reservoir level was kinda low (June). The campground was pretty full as you got closer to the water.

Quiet camping. The reservoir is low so there’s a hike to get to the lake. I have a 40’ travel trailer. There are sites big enough for me, but the campground roads weren’t designed for my size of rig. For a big rig, get a site near the water and only use camp roads along the water. The upper campsite roads have tight corners-I rubbed some trees down my trailer on corners.

Very quiet with nice views. A few sites for larger rvs. Several double sites. Some sites have picnic tables on the wrong side. CG is clean, however, bathrooms could use a little attention. CG staff very pleasant and helpful.
