Great park for a family trip! We went here planned to do only golfing but there was so many family activities to enjoy to that's why we stayed here a little longer than we expect. We stayed here for two days and one night. On our first day, as what we planned, we did golfing and it was nice. The courses and grounds were decent. After golfing, we had so much fun at the water park. The water was clean. The water slides and boating is the blast. Make sure not to missed it. Great amenities. Friendly staff. Reasonable fares. I'm definitely going back here next summer.
I’m reluctant to submit this review, as it may make future bookings more difficult. This is by far the best park to stay with an RV. The location is ideal. Just about everything (shops, restaurants, etc) you need is very close. Cellular service is about as good as anywhere, if not better. The campgrounds are within a larger park that offers some nice amenities like tennis and racquetball courts, fitness zone, bike and jogging trails around lakes. There’s also and a water park, golf driving range and inflatable tow rides. The park does get busy on the weekends but never seems to get all that loud. That may be the exception during the upcoming KISS Country Chili CookOff happening later this month. The campground itself sits by a lake on the northwestern part of the park. The sites are generally roomy and plenty of space between sites. We haven’t used the showers or laundry facilities, so no idea how they compare. Seems like all sites are full hookups will sewer since I haven’t seen a dump station around. One of the biggest surprises is the lack of mosquitos. Makes hanging outside in the late afternoons and evenings so nice. For extended stays in south Florida, it will always be our first choice.

The only campground we like better than CB Smith is Fort Wilderness. What a nice surprise this campground was. Very spacious and well thought out. They have pull through sites in a conventional layout and clusters of 5 or 6 back in sites. There’s plenty of open space between the clusters and the pull through sites. Nice laundry facility. Campground is adjacent to a large county park with tennis courts, walking trails and a water park. There is a hospital and shopping mall across the street but you would never know it as the entire campground is surrounded by trees and shrubs. You would think that you’re in the woods but you’re really in the centEr of the city. If you’re in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area this is where you want to stay.

Broward County has very good camping.
Not as convenient to downtown and the beaches as some of the other parks, but all of the facilities are first rate.

This park is one of Broward County's parks with camping. Outside of the campground, it is large, has lots of activities including a water park and plenty of paved walking/running trails. The campground is well maintained and has a full range of site sizes and placement. This park is close to a lot of shopping and services. However, we actually prefer TY Park in Hollywood which has a wonderful staff. C.B. Smith staff is adequate but not nearly as friendly and helpful.

I stayed here for two nights while doing some emergency tank sensor repair which required water and sewer connections, and compared to the price of other full hookup campsites it was the most affordable. Friendly staff, very organized, I had no trouble reserving a site via telephone. Everything worked, site was clean, there were lots of activities in the park itself, including a water park! They accept older RVs too, which as the owner of a pre-owned, well-traveled motorhome I always appreciate. The sites were on the cramped side and there were noisy campers nearby—loud bass, loud talking and loud car door slamming—but the ability to use my air conditioning unit without the generator made up for it. It’s on the high end of my price range though, so I would stay again during a cheaper season.

We love this park for camping. We were assigned one of the RV sites near the primitive camping, which backs right to the lake. The view and spaciousness is great! Very quiet campground with a good walking/biking path all around the park.

After our stay at Bluewater RV in the Keys we weren't ready to put the camper away for another couple weeks so we booked a week here. I used to go to summer camp here as a kid so I was surprised to find they have a pretty new campground on its own little island in the middle of this local county park. Full hookups and lots of activities in the park to do. We took the kids putt-putt golfing but hey have a driving range, batting cages, kids parks and a water park (when COVID is over this would make it extra worth it.)

This is a county park which gets heavy day use. There are numerous picnic shelters, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a water park and a golf driving range and mini-golf. All of these amenities are well segregated from the campground which was pleasantly quiet.
Sites can be a bit on the small side with not much privacy or separation. All sites have paved pads with a small patio area. Most sites are back-ins though there are many pull thru's as well.
Plenty to do in the area with lots of attractions, shopping and eateries within an easy drive.

We booked several days during the Labor Day weekend. Surprisingly the campground was peaceful and quite. The kids loved ridding bikes and playing in the playground. Site 49 was next to the road that loops the campground but was well shaded for the hot South Florida days. The staff was friendly. We did not use the bathhouse or laundry facilities. Really enjoyed the stay and will return.
