Very interesting. For an exorbitant fee, you can stay the night in the caverns. If you take the 5pm tour, you're likely to get a little more out of the experience (it's the last of the day and they take their time). Beautiful caverns. They give a military discount.

Shout out to our your guide, Mitchell, for being funny, informative, and enthusiastic. It showed that he loves his job. The cavern itself is interesting and worth it. It's quite the contrast from the nearby canyon (Grand type).

We woke up at 4am and got the heck outta there.

The inside of motel room is in need of an update, the vinyl floor had multiple burns/stains, the room smelled of a damp dankness, the shower drain is covered in rust, the beds are very uncomfortable and the ambiance of the motel is uncomfortable.

The outside area is quite neat, “Cars” movie themed with the old gas station, unfortunately the cars are in disrepair.
Lots of neat artifacts around. We did not try the putt-putt course, but it looked like it was in good condition. The pool appeared to be freshly updated, however the path to the pool wrecked off cat feces.

We were too late for a regular tour (5pm) so we went for the ghost tour, expecting a scary tour, the tour guide gave us EMF sensors and it looked like it would be fun, the ghost tour was an absolute waste of money.
We did not receive any sort of tour, we were taken down into the cave with 10 others just to watch an old man try to talk to a ghost. We were down over an hour and sat in one area for 30 minutes before I asked him to keep moving along. When we finally got back up top to realize they had closed the store and locked all the doors.
No one was there, I feel fortunate the tour guide was in a good mood or he could’ve locked us all down there and no one would’ve ever known. -seriously.

Well worth the time and money. We took the 45 minute tour with Dino, who pointed out tons of interesting rock formations, holes, and weird anomalies. At a constant 56 degrees, it was a welcome relief from the September heat.
Be prepared to hike up and down some pretty steep pathways, but there are rails that you can hold onto it if you need to.
The only disappointment was that half of our small group didn’t wear masks and neither did the guide (we are in the middle of a pandemic right now).

Fun stop on Route 66. We stayed in the motel. They have a small room with vintage stuff for the kids and lots of curios things to look at. Old cars ( claim to be inspiration for the movie Cars), mini golf, horse rides, and of course the caverns. Free continental breakfast.
