Heavenly Treasures

A very unique quilting store opened October 1, 2004 in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Heavenly Treasures is the name of the full line retail quilting and notions store opened in the recently remodeled former First Baptist Church building. Owner Marie Glenn says she spent much of 2004 completely remodeling the building. Extensive repair has been done to the 1905 church building to allow it to serve as exciting retail space for her comprehensive line of quilting supplies, fabric and notions. “People will love the sight as they walk into the sanctuary and see the beautiful stained glass windows surrounding them. This is a dream come true for me. This will be an exciting new retail service to meet the needs of our community and the many quilters throughout the three state region surrounding southeast Nebraska,” according to Mrs. Glenn. The new store features fabrics, lace, buttons, zippers, patterns, yarns, craft supplies, gift items and other heavenly treasures. Glenn also has craft and quilting classes. Heavenly Treasures is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 3pm at 9th and G Streets in Pawnee City, Nebraska (2 blocks north of the Post Office).
