Near the headwaters of the Wild and Scenic North Fork Crooked River, this campground offers opportunities for superb trout fishing and undeveloped hiking. The campsites have tables, fire pits, vault toilets, but NO drinking water. Directions: From Prineville: Travel approximately 25 miles east on Highway 26, following signs to the old Ochoco Ranger Station. Travel 14 miles on Forest Road 42, turning south on Forest Road 4215 and drive 5 miles to the campground sign.
