A wide variety of trails that can accommodate 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles, OHV access from the campsite, low traffic (at least when we were there), and relatively close to the bay area. I have been here before when it is jammed packed but this last time was wonderful. They have a RC rock crawl track too which is very fun. I made a youtube video which I have shared to show the trails. Please give it a thumbs up :)

We stayed here as we are traveling up north to Northern California. It is a little bit of a detour off I-5 through a valley of winding road (about 25 minutes with a trailer) but the drive is one of the best parts about going to the campground. Beautiful valley with stream flowing through. The campground is actually more for access to an off-road vehicle recreation area with trails, etc. About 90% of the people staying here had four wheelers, dirt bikes, etc. We still enjoyed it especially since there’s a really nice playground down the road called Frank Raines regional Park and there were some nice trails going up into the hills from there. Last note is there is no cell service that deep back in the valley where the campground is but they do have a landline payphone that can be used for emergencies. There was a sheriff that was really nice hanging around all weekend so felt safe.
