Sanders Cove Campground

For last minutes reservation no bad gate close 10pm nice and big corner spot and easy to parking

Nice amenities for a USACOE site~ some of them have just a boat ramp and barely paved roads. This place had 3 loops: Loop C has the boat ramp/dock; Loop A in the middle has a “courtesy” pier; Loop B has a decent swim beach. The ground is sandy here so the beach is nicely clear instead of muddy: nice! Waterline is shallow enough for families. Tall oaks and pines provide awesome shade. Electric and water outlets; good cell service. 12 miles north of the pretty town of Paris.

Stumbled on this campground just north of Paris on a new COE reservoir. Plenty of lake front sites were open on the weekend. Drove to the campground and got a spot. Glad we came.

I loved this park because of the full tree coverage. The Mountain bike trails are easy to intermediate and totally shaded, which is rare in Texas. The site did not have sewer but the dump station was easy to access near the entrance. Swimming was easily accessible from our campsite. Overall great spot.
Would have been nice to have sinks in the bathrooms, and showers at each camp loop.

This campground is quite nice and very affordable. With our senior national pass it cost us just $9.00 to stay a site with electricity . The bathroom we had access to was acceptable, nothing fancy, but clean and with a shower. Great location on the lake, many sites with lake views. Heads up loop C bathrooms are closed from Nov to March 31. There’s a bathroom you can use, but you’ll need a bike or car to get there.
