Parachute Rafting Center Dump Station

A community dump station with potable water. There is no charge to use this facility. It's on the north side of a large parking lot. The rafting center has restrooms as does the CDOT Rest Area across I-70 to the north. There's fast food, gas stations and a tire shop near by in town.

Clean and easy access from I-70. On your left as you pull into the lot. Water says non-potable now (both the flush water and the main tap on the other side), so I did what most people might do and tasted it. Clearly treated (chlorinated) city water, so I'm using it and will update this review if we get sick from it.

We were headed back over Vail Pass the Grand Mesa and needed a place to dump our tanks. A quick search of Campendium directed us here. Very convenient access to interstate 70, clean station, and big rig friendly. An added bonus was the food trailer on site with awesome breakfast burritos. I don’t know who maintains this site, but thank you for providing a great, clean dump station for RV’ers.

Easy off the interstate and FREE! Water and dump. We appreciated the cleanliness and access! Highly recommend!!

If you are coming 70 west exit the freeway and take a left. Drive straight and you will see the big parking lot and food truck. There is a dump station when you drive in straight ahead. No potable water. This is free and a courtesy of the city. Easy access.

Clean, easy access. This is a very cold time of year so it’s nice to at least have the dump station open. I can understand why the water is shut off.

Easy access but parking lot was busy due to the taco truck. No drinking water was a downer. Kind of tight to get turned around with our 32’ trailer.
