Lone Oak Park

We had been staying in a fancier RV park in Bradenton but they couldn’t extend our stay so we went searching for anything nearby in January one of Florida’s busiest times. Anyway this place gave us a huge discount for seniors, about half of what we had been paying. Manager nice, maybe too nice sometimes. No amenities at all. Small laundry with cold water only but lots of laundry stores nearby. Also lots to do in area with Emerson Point close by. Walmart and other stores within walking distance. A shower for men and one for women and that’s it. Most of park are permanent residents with old mobile homes but tidy. Only about ten pull throughs and maybe ten back ins available. No real WiFi so we had local company come out and hook us up independently.

Felt fortunate to get in. This was so much more reasonable than other parks and very clean. No frills, no WiFi.

We were fortunate that there was an open space available this time of year being the busiest season. Most of the homes appear to be there permanently but there are some seasonal residents as well. Staff was friendly. Neighbors were pleasant and quiet. The park was clean and tidy...just very crowded. No issue for us in our 25' travel trailer but a motorhome or larger size vehicle may find it challenging but there were larger RVs on site.

Advertised rate was $35, with difficulty finding a spot on Thanks Giving week we checked this out. Been here one hour and can't wait to move in the morning. Don't feel safe and over come by food smells. There are more feral cats per square foot than we can count. Most sites are long term, only two transient sites.
