Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Aboard the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, World’s Largest Rotating Tramcar, you will experience a breathtaking journey up the sheer cliffs of Chino Canyon. Begin the 10 minute ride at the Valley Station – elevation 2,643 ft. and end at the Mountain Station – elevation 8,516 ft. No matter what the season, whether you are enjoying spectacular views or hiking in a pristine wilderness, a one-of-a-kind experience can be had by all.

This thing moves fast! And it spins (slowly, but it spins). Take the ride to the top. When I say fast, you travel to the top in like 10 minutes. If you are altitude sensitive (my wife is) you will feel the affects of this speedy travel to the top. The views are cool. Absolutely loved that tram ride! Once we were at the top we took a nice hike! There is still snow in May so make sure you have closed toed shoes. Beautiful views, great hiking, and great customer service!

They are not pet friendly. You can't even go on the trails with your dog.

This place is great. The revolving car lets you see all of the different views as you are going up and down the mountain. It only rotates like 2 1/2 times so it's pretty slow. At the top, there is great hiking and a nice little gift shop. It's also a little cooler up top.

Awesome place. Been there twice, more than sure ill go a few more. In the winter it is COLD, in the summer it is HOT! Awesome scenery and beautiful walks and hikes. The peach pizza at the bar, a must have!

The scenery going up and down is awesome. Lots of hiking trails. Good food too.

There's hiking and dining at the top (make a reservation if you're planning on eating at Peaks Restaurant). It's like, $24 or something like that person, so it isn't cheap, but if you make the most of your time there it's well worth it. And even if you are afraid of heights, don't let that stop you from riding up the mountain-- it's really not that scary.
