Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 28, 2019We camped here because of its close proximity to Aggie Fish Camp at the Lakeview Methodist Conference Center. The owner, Angela, and her husband are incredibly friendly and helpful. They met us at the gate, led us to our pull through site, and ensured we had everything we needed to set up our RV.
The Palestine RV Park is heavily wooded, secured by a gate, clean and well maintained.
Overall a very nice experience!

Nice park, although might be a little tight for some big rigs. Very pleasant owners. Cute decorations throughout the park. The gate stays closed and you need a code to get in or out, so it’s best to call ahead so they know when to meet you at the gate. The bathroom has one toilet, one shower, and is not heated, but is very clean. Washer and dryer in the bath house are $1.50. I stayed here in February - the trees would provide lots of shade in the summer months. Very quiet and pleasant park.

This is an excellent RV park, almost a campground. There are a lot of reasons for an RVer to spend a night or more here. Since there is no lake, river or swimming pool, or woods to hike, not much for camping.
So if you are RVING in the Palestine, Texas area and want a nice quite, clean place to stay, try Palestine RV Park on AN County Road 147/148. They have full time residences there but no trash that can be associated people piling up junk and/or unused equipment.
I believe we had cell (Verizon) service, but their touted Wi-Fi was weak and slow, but we did not go there to surf the net. And as mentioned we were only there one night, so lack of internet just meant we had to entertain each other for one night.

We camped here during 100-degree weather, so VERY happy with the shady spot! Access is just a little tricky, so the owner graciously, texts you the directions to get to the park. The main point is to be sure to come in from 287 on County Road 147. Then it is a piece of cake! They escorted us to our site and were very accommodating.
Our spot was huge and pretty level. They take pains to level the spots. This is in the Piney Woods area, so lots of pine needles and sand. Not a problem, but did require a little brushing of the dogs before going back in the trailer. They have a smaller dog area, but it was perfect for our three Giant Schnauzers to run a little and do their business.
The park is mainly permanent spots and honestly really one saw one or two people most days. Very quiet.
The only drawback for us was the Verizon service was not very good. I do have a cell antenna I put up to help which allowed us to work and stream Netflix.
Overall, we would stay again for sure.
