Kehena Black Sand Beach

Kehena beach, located in Pahoa, Hawaii on the Big Island of Hawaii is a clothing-optional black sand beach that draws a wide gathering of locals and tourists alike.  The waves at Kehena are generally rough and visitors should consult locals opinions and exercise caution when entering the water.  On days when the water is calm, a favorite activity here is swimming with friendly wild spinner dolphins. Show up on Sunday afternoons when locals break out the drums in drum circles!
