Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on August 16, 2023Loved this Rv park right across the street from the beach. Well maintained Rv park. Had read reviews about all the bunnies and people upset about it but I enjoyed seeing them all over so many of them. I would love to come back and stay longer
...but worth every penny. A real "KOA" vibe happening here. Our site was large, not all of them are. There are those "camping lodge" trailers all around. Playgrounds, a gift shop, firewood for sale and decent WiFi.
What stands out is the beach. They've got a haystack ( like Cannon Beach's), but the feeling is more like Ecola. Small, quiet, and the lord himself would be jealous of evolution for how the ocean has shaped this slice of sand and salt. You can sandboard down the massive dune (they rent sandboards at the RV park), or just climb to the top where an even more majestic view awaits (especially if you hike towards the beach, through the sitkas, once you've reached the top).
Pelican Brewery being between the park and the beach didn't hurt either. This is my top beach town, or maybe "resort" is the word, in Oregon.

Beautiful area but the CG is crowded and noisy. Not worth the money. Spend the day at Cape Kiwanda. Definitely eat and drink at Pelican Brewing then drive to a better camp if you like cozy. The camp store has about anything you could want and there's a indoor heated pool and sauna. Too crowded for me though!

$75 for a pull-through site in late October - of the two WiFi signals, one doesn’t connect and the other is so slow it’s impossible to even load email. Plus trash left from the previous guests in our fire ring. Literally just paying for the location.

We stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely fell in love with Cape Kiwanda. This is our new favorite Oregon coast beach town! It has a real beach vibe and you cannot beat the location. The RV park is literally across the street from the public beach area. People wanting to come visit for the day have a horrible time trying to park on the main highway and have to pull coolers, kids, and beach chairs on dangerous roads with almost no shoulder. I was actually terrified watching some of the families trek to the beach after parking on the highway. Its worth it just for the location across the beach and not having to hassle with parking. The park itself is OK, everything was clean, but you're coming here for the location. Everyone that worked there was awesome and super helpful if we needed anything. Some sites are better than others, and I heard there was a pool but we were there during COVID so it wasn't on our radar. The store is awesome. They have a deli counter, fudge shop, and are well stocked with groceries, beer/wine, and have a cute souvenir shop. There is a pizza shop next door, a taco/burrito place across the street, a great coffee shop, and let's not forget about Pelican Brewing. We are already booked again for this summer! I can't wait!

This is our 2nd trip with our new trailer so we are novices, but overall the camp seems nice. We didnt bother looking into the amenities like using the pool or hottub; overall its a decent site, great location. Weve enjoyed our weekend away and would come again.
The wifi is okay, got worse of course when more people showed up friday. AT&T must have a 5G cell somewhere near the cape/beach; when I’m down there I get 5 bars but it drops to 2 bars at the camp site. Still usable for streaming and internet from my phone.

We spent a rainy north western fall here at Cape Kiwanda, and loved every day of it.
They have bunnies which our 9 month old Akita loved.
There are a few eating establishments very close by.
I loved the stay and hope to return one day.
A short walk across the street every morning with the dog was awesome.

This park is across the street from a great beach, which has the added attraction of Dory boats that drive themselves up on the beach each morning after the day's catch -- unique and fun to watch. Plus that giant sand dune to climb and run down...! And the Pelican Brewery Pub right there, too.
Not much else to the town, with no real downtown close by. But a great beach, easily accessible!
The RV park was a mixed experience. Sites are close together (in some cases ridiculously so), with little vegetation separating... It's a family oriented park with a nice indoor swimming pool, so lots of little ones running about if that's your thing. The pedestals are trashed and need to be completely redone; our sewer connection was broken. The staff is helpful and nice. They have a large store and a pizza shop adjacent to the park, so convenient. In the tsunami zone, for those of you with nightmares... Finally, cell service (AT&T) was very frustrating and their wi-fi is so weak and inconsistent as to be unusable.
But we'll probably come back (this was our 2nd visit) as that beach is really great. M.

The location is everything- market, beach with tide pools, pastry & coffee shop, Pelican’s Brew Pub, but the campsites are not good. The spots are worn gravel and dirt, with nothing green in sight, and are so close together that you can’t help but hear your neighbors’ conversations (not to mention music). We stayed on a busy weekend, but the washrooms were empty of toilet paper & towels and hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. We would stay again, but only to be in the area.
