This is a beautiful and historic spot; a real treat for those who want a peaceful, quiet, fascinating retreat, and for those who want to be in striking distance of the city but see amazing star views at night. The hosts were attentive to all details, and the house/cabins are beautiful, spacious, thoughtfully appointed, and very historically intriguing. We hope to stay here again!!

I can't imagine anyone who would not love this place. It is beautiful, inside and out. The hosts are the best, and we had 10 people there with no crowding at all. No one wanted to leave, and the only bad thing about the weekend was having to admit that we had to go home and back to work! Sarah B from Berea, KY.

Blue Wing Landing is easily the most memorable AirBNB I've stayed at so far. The pictures in this listing don't quite do it justice. The house is actually much larger than I expected. The ground floor in particular has huge ceilings, and a very airy spacious, yet comfy feeling. We were quite lucky to have this as our family gathering space over Christmas. It was just the right size to fit all twelve of us, which included using the very charming cabin right outside the house. The wonderful wood-burning fireplaces, gorgeous holiday decorations, and peaceful setting made it one of the most memorable family gatherings in recent years. It was a bit chilly, so we weren't able to take advantage of much of the surrounding area or the activities on the river, but we did visit the cows on the property and everybody loved seeing the calf that had been born just a few days prior. Kathleen and Doug were wonderful hosts, and have such a personal connection and passion for this property. It's very evident in how they care for it and the warmth with which they greet their guests. I can't thank them enough. The one thing to be aware of is there is very little cellular service at the house itself. This makes for a great opportunity to disconnect, but keep in mind that all guests should have their directions prior to heading out to the house.
