Must register at local police department just up the road which was quick and easy. Campsites are nice and located within a playground which is nice if you have small kids.

I've lived in Otsego my whole life and this park is one of the best. Two playgrounds, portapotties, lots of room to walk dogs and they have bat houses throughout the park. 2 miles from Walmart, Meijer and Dollar Tree. There's also a convenience store right next to the park.
Must check in at Otsego City Police Station. 127 E Court St.

Our priority list for campgrounds is some variation of: location, cost, playground. This great little park hit all 3. It was just right.
We're traveling from Maine to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. We needed a place to catch our breath and clean up before boondocking for a week. This city park is close to conveniences - 2 playgrounds in the park itself, port-a-potties, grills and picnic tables. Walmart is a mile away and there are some stores within easy walking distance including a grocery store.
For $10 a night we got a level cement pad, electric hook up (30 amp) and potable water (there are 2 spigots for 3 sites so heads up, a splitter might be necessary if it's full). There is no dump station that we could find. There is a 3 night maximum. You pay and check in at the local police station (where it is noted that no one with a legal history involving children will be allowed to stay). Police Station: 42.461741, -85.695219
The sites are close together with little privacy between them, but being behind a hill from the main road, there is very little to no traffic noise. There are also big shade trees and lots of open lawn to run and bike on.

Super clean and super small. Here on a Friday night in July and it is empty - 3 of the 4 RV sites are open. They are poured concrete too!
No campfires allowed and must go to the police department to register FIRST.

There's only 3 spots and 1 tent spot available. The police are very serious about this place and patrol it on a regular basis day-and-night. Do not come in after hours because the police will ticket you for not paying. You must check in at the police station to pay for your spot. You can only stay 3 nights.

Nice little park in the middle of town. You need to go to police station, just a few blocks away, to register. 3 day max stay but this is a quick get some rest and move on kind of place. Great value for the money however and close to Walmart and many restaurants.

In order to stay here you must register at the police station. We arrived at 10:30 am on a Friday. They don’t man the desk Friday thru Sunday so you have to call the phone number on the door which goes to dispatch. She then contacts an officer who will meet you there or in our case he was busy and so she told us to go back to our site and wait he would call us. We sat at our site for three hours and finally had to take our car into town for an appointment. Before we left we drove by the station again to see if anyone was there. We just missed an officer who was pulling out and turned heading toward the campground, but he turned the wrong way so we continued to our appointment. When we were done I called dispatch again and told her we never got a call. Once again she told us to go back to our site and wait. We were there at 4:30. No one came. At 7:00 the officer drove right by and didn’t stop. As it got later we decided maybe they planned to catch us in the morning so we went to sleep. Guess what at midnight we got a knock on the door waking us out of a sound sleep. Really!! Unbelievable! We had started trying to pay for the previous 13.5 hours. He then had the nerve to make the comment that it was a misdemeanor to be in the park after closing without paying. Are you kidding me! We had been trying to pay ALL DAY! Also you need to know that it used to cost $10 per day it is now $30. Didn’t get back to sleep until 2:30. In the morning. If they don’t want to deal with campers set up a self pay system but then they couldn’t ask you to fill out a full page questionnaire. My husband wanted me to call again before we went to bed but I didn’t want to be a pest. My consideration was rewarded with the midnight knock.
