Discrimination against what they call “aggressive dog breeds” was not allowed to have them on site at all. Boycotting all KOA campgrounds. Boo! B.S.
We had a great time! We upgraded to a deluxe cabin which was pricy but beautiful. We weren't prepared and didn't have camping supplies or bedding for the non-deluxe cabin. Our babies loved the indoor pool and weathered putt-putt golf. The free pancakes were pretty bad but the kids are them. Located across from fort Stevens state park was a plus.
But the price is insane. There is a TON to do in the KOA itself, bouncy pads and rigamarole like that for youngsters. So if you're down for an expensive vacation in Warrenton, get 'we done!
Across the street from Fort Stevens and maybe 25 minutes to Astoria, it's in a pretty ideal location.
It's just one of those KOAs where I think, "seriously, $80?" For what? Id rather do Ft. Stevens in a hammock and freeze under the beauty of what this part of the nation has to offer than squirt around a KOA where I'm not even, as a full grown adult, allowed to jump on the bouncy pad.
Actually, now that I think of it, there were no signs saying I couldn't...
Also, I perfected the art of making a roof over a campfire, out of the campfire itself, here. Which is irrelevant, I agree.

Kids love the amenities, parents love that the kids can run around safely and entertain themselves, and grandparents love that there are cabins to rent.
Its a KOA with a steep price tag, but for the price you get all you can eat pancakes, a brand new large pool outdoor (with separate 1ft. deep toddler pool), heated indoor pool, skeeball, horseshoes, a 20ftx10ft jumping pad (full of air), onsite store, ping pong, pool, awesome staff, and the list goes on.
The sites vary from an area in the cover of trees (usually shorter trailers only ~30ft and under), to sites out in the open with level gravel. The site widths are about average, you won't feel too squished.
Have stayed several times with kids. Last trip was with grandparents too and they just grabbed a nice little cabin with a great fire ring that 10 of us could get around at the end of the day.
Location is about 20-30 minutes from Cannon Beach (quaint shops and iconic haystacks on the beach) as well as about 15-20 minutes from Astoria. Lots of supermarkets in the area about 10 minutes into the nearest town.

Overall, the campground offers a good selection of spots to camp at. Ours had more privacy with bushes on either side. Everything was kept clean and the trash was picked up regularly from each spot. Wifi connection ok, went in and out of range especially during the daytime. Full hookups, clean general bathrooms/showers. There was a lot of security driving around. We do wish they could control the noisy neighbors playing music late at night.
Front desk and mini mart staff, rude and uninterested. Had an unpleasant experience trying to purchase a couple of supplies and left disappointed.

We've stayed here twice now and would definitely come back again, but really only if we could get a pull through or backup spot in the 100's.
The staff are super friendly, with good "security" at the entrance to ensure that only paid visitors can get access to the campground. The store is well stocked, plenty ice, firewood and they have a propane fill-up too. There is lots to do within the campground for kids and you are within walking/biking distance of Ft. Stevens State Park where you can get to the ocean/beach, jetty or lake. The park has a great walking and cycling trail.
As far as the site goes, we have only stayed in the 100's section and would definitely want to be there again when we return. The 200's looked decent too. We've walked around the campground to look at other spots and the rest of the campground lacks privacy, especially the 300's where you are basically wide open next to everybody else. The 400's seem to have a trailer park theme going on...sites crammed like sardines.
The 100's section where we have stayed has large pull through and back in full hookup spots with plenty of room for slideouts, awnings and access to a picnic table and firepit. The spots are shaded with trees and you get privacy with shrubs between you and your neighbors. Just be wary of all the kids running/biking around.

This was a great KOA and perfect for what we needed! We had made reservations at another park on the Washington side of the river, but when we showed up they were closed. Called this KOA and they were able to get us a spot after hours and were very accommodating.
We stayed in the 100s section close to the entrance in a pull through site. As it was the off season, the campground was not yet busy. We could imagine the closer together sites may get crowded in the summer. When we stay here again we’d probably reserve a back in site on the edge of the campground as they had the most privacy.
Typical in KOA Holiday fashion, they had plenty of amenities suitable for the whole family including the furry family members. Their Kamp K9 was very clean and had fun play equipment. Our son would have also loved to be able to play on the equipment but wasn’t able to due to the limited amount of time we were at the park.
There is a breakfast spot right down the road that was delicious as well and very close to all Astoria/seaside have to offer.

Peak season and they were packed. Couldn’t get in early since they were very strict with checking in at 3:00p. Our pad was at the start of the row and close to the entrance. So every RV that came in, we heard it. Plus there was a flood light right in front that lit up the entire site.
Great staff, awesome store, tons of activities. Lots of kids and dogs running around but observed quiet times.

I stayed here in July, August, September and October in campsite 206. I brought both sets of my grandkids and they said it was one of the best times they ever had camping. There are many activities for the kids to do. There are two pools, an outdoor pool and an indoor pool with a hot tub. The liked the bouncy pillow and the mini golf too. The KOA is across the street from Fort Steven's which is a nice little day outing trip to the beach there. The have a little cafe near the outdoor pool which sold the usual stuff like burgers, ice cream and pizza. Campsite 206 had some shade from the trees the only issue I had with this site is that it's not level. Even though therr were lots of kids it was still a very relaxing experience. I will definitely be going back there again. Check-in was easy and I would definitely start making your reservations sometime in April if you want to camp during the summer months. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. J. Wright

If you can stay at the State Park across the street. It’s much nicer at half the price. Arrived an hour before check in and was told to go wait across the street. At check in time you get to wait in a long line to check in. We have stayed at a lot of KOAs but won’t be back to this one.
