“clean, modern campsite”
We are located in Monument Valley, approximately 6 miles from the Monument Valley Tribal Park. We are perfectly located to serve as a hub for those interested in visiting other locations in the area, such as Canyon De Chelly National Monument, Hovenweep National Monument, Navajo National Monument, Four Corners National Monument, Goosenecks State Reserve, Natural Bridges National Monument and Valley of the Gods, to name a few. Goulding’s Lodge was home to John Ford and John Wayne during the filming of many classic western films such as Stagecoach and The Searchers. The landscape is what famous director John Ford loved about Monument Valley.
I loved the cool pool. If you are looking for the showers (like I was), its in the shop behind the cash register 😀 definitely worth a visit. We planned 1 night and stayed for another.
Really awesome camp site tucked into a very private area in monument valley. Surrounded by red rock and cool structures and great views. Full hookups. Everything worked great.
Stayed for 2 nights in a Camping Cabin in early April, 2019. This is a clean, nice RV/ campground. It is up the canyon a 1/2 mile from Gouldings Lodge . There are separate areas for the RV's and tents. The view down the canyon is pretty nice. Yes there are Reservation dogs wandering around. We found this all over the Navajo Nation however. The other close by campground is in the actual Tribal Park by the entrance to Monument Valley and is an ugly gravel parking lot type.
This place is gorgeous. Nestled with an outcropping of rocks that are part of the monuments, the views are amazing. The roads are newly paved and the bath houses are clean and well maintained. There is gas, stores, and museum right here. It is definitely on my repeat list
Recently stayed here for a night while roadtripping. The staff was friendly, and there were several amenities available including laundry (thank god!). The tent sites were pretty basic, a table and some nice, sandy, flat ground. I did deduct a star however because there were several stray? Reservation dogs roaming which started a domino of barking from all the RVing dogs. I love dogs but the constant barking was a big of a nuisance.
This was a clean good campsite with a pool. Well sheltered from the wind and full hook up which is very important at this time of year as with small kids it is far too hot to not have the a/c running.
Wonderful location. Great views. Clean and recommend for seeing Monument Valley.
Sorry, but this is a campground for people they "must" stay overnight in the area and not a "campground'.
Sites are very unlevel and un even in all angles and very tight for above 30 Trailers and 5th wheels. We tried to unhitch our 34 5th wheel 2 times, but the angels where to steep side ways to get even unhitched.
Staff totally does not understand nature of level and space for unhitching.
Dog poop all over the place - people seem just not to care.
I am sorry, but thats not you you do a campground and you will never get a good reputation.
it would be so easy to fix things but the owners do not care.
Not sure why a low score, this place is solid. Friendly staff, decent amenities, and of course great location!
Wonderful campground and very nice people.
