“on Hat Creek in Lassen National Forest”
Cave Campground is right on Hat Creek and across the road from the Subway Cave. There are 46 overnight camping sites; all with picnic tables, fire rings and barbeques. Cave Campground offers Hat Creek fishing access with free day use parking. Sites 1 - 16 are open year around. Sites 17-46 are open April through mid-October. Water is shut off during winter months. All sites are first come first serve, no reservations are needed. Hat Creek offers some of the best fishing on the Lassen National Forest. There are plenty of day hiking trails and interpretive information that can be found at the Old Station Visitor Center.
