Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park

Spent the night here in the astronomy pad area. It’s a red light zone and does it’s best to filter out any lighting so you can see the stars, so be prepared for no fires or white lights. Each pad does have electric so it was nice to have an extension cord run to the text for a fan. Also brought an electric skillet to cook breakfast in the morning. Fairly close walk to the bathrooms. Breezy and beautiful (late September stay). Had the pleasure of waking up to deer grazing in the field nearby. All neighbors were friendly and respectful. We can’t wait to go back to enjoy this again. Bring cash to pay the park fee and support the park, the box is by the front.
