Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on December 27, 2020Burns Lake is a simple campground that is open with a picnic table and fire grate at all sites. Bear boxes available on tent camping side. 10 RV sites on one side of the lake, 5 tent camping sites on the other. The current sign from Dec. 2018 says that you need to reserve sites online. They used to take walk ups, by I don't know if they do now. Clean outhouses. No water or electricity. Like all Big Cypress campgrounds, it is overpriced. That being said, I like it the best because it is far enough back from Tamiami Trail that you don't hear road noise like the others. Peaceful and quiet on a pretty small lake. Good fishing nearby along the Tamiami Trail. Not far from a restaurant and gas station. Here is a link to my Youtube review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-0qNMXrs28&t=20s

As full-time RVers who work from home, we were unable to use our hotspot even with a Booster. Most of the cell service was 3G to one bar of Verizon (just enough to send a text or make a quick call). We spent most of our days traveling to Naples to work, so didn't spend a lot of time at the campground.
The area is very peaceful and would make a great spot to get away from it all for a while! Just beware that it gets really buggy at night so your window screens should be small enough to keep the gnats out.

The first couple of nights were very peaceful. So quiet that when you spoke outside you felt like you would be bothering your neighbors. Cell service and data worked fine with the booster. Last two nights 2 motor homes show up full of people and it was like they were trying to make as much noise as possible. Music blaring all day and night. Flying drones and then they started racing 4 wheelers around the lake. They just made so much noise you couldn’t hear you own music over all their noise. Absolutely ruined our stay. Camp host would do nothing. Said I’m just a volunteer I’m not going down there. Said he would call park rangers but I never saw anyone show up. The campground is awesome just our neighbors sucked.
