WYNDENROK is a 99 year old cottage with 2 story stone fireplace, antique and wicker furniture, chintz curtains, French doors, wood floors, and nice quality quilts/comforters and pillows that invite you to relax in comfort and enjoy the views. We have purposely kept the cottage comfortably rustic without TV, computer, etc. A multitude of board games and books, fireplace to gather on cool nights or fire pit on beach to roast marshmallows are the attractions our guests will enjoy with family or friends. If that describes you, then consider Wyndenrok your vacation paradise! Wyndenrok Cottage, 1/2 mile north of downtown Northport with 3 screened porches & comfortably rustic, was built in 1913. It is classic 'Up North'! A large open living room centers around a 2 story stone fireplace. Wood floors and comfy furniture with an old piano 'just for fun.' Beveled glass French doors open out onto large front porch with stunning views of the Bay with glider, rocking chairs, and table for meals. Breakfast porch off kitchen has views of the bay and surrounding woods. Two upstairs bedrooms (1 queen, the other 2 twins), a separate sleeping porch (king size bed or 2 twins), and dormer with lakeside balcony (twin bed). With a new queen-size sofa bed in living room, it comfortably sleeps 6-8! One bath tucked under the stairs and cozy rustic kitchen. Property is wooded, private. Large sandy area on beach with fire pit, charcoal grill, and beach chairs/table. NOTE: We are on North Shore Rd. MapQuest is incorrect.We ARE on the water & private/quiet.
