Ended up in Newport and every state park was full months in advance on the whole coast. Looked online here and the website said they only had 3 spots to choose from but out of about 20 spots I think there were only 6 people in the Overflow dry camping. Sites are level on gravel with no hook ups but very short walk to Marina, Hatfield Marine Science Center, Newport Aquarium and shops. Access to bike bath, and walk ways to flats etc... great location, was very quiet and felt safe and clean. Restrooms and laundry also on site. Fish Cleaning stations, and boat rental.

Sites are large with grass between, but kind of close to each other, a bit of a parking lot. Sites are level and have full hook ups with fast free WIFI and cable TV. The outer edge are back in sites and the inside are most pull through. Bathrooms and on site laundry are clean.
It is walking distance to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, the Hatfield Marine Science Center and Rogue Brewing/Rogue Sprits. You can bike/walk into South Beach State Park.
There is some road noise from the Yaquina Bay Bridge but it's not excessive. We've stayed here several times in the past and always bring extra sewer hose as the sewer connections tend to be quite forward in the sites. They appear to be set up more for MH rather than travel trailers.

Lucked out getting a spot here as this week was halibut season for the week. We ended up with a spot on outer circle where we had to back into a normal pull into spot so we’re facing opposite other rvs with utilities on opposite side.... but we had a spot in a great park. Laundry and shower were clean. Sites are all asphalt with grass in between. WiFi is good, not great and cable tv.
Marina right next to us with lots of boats coming and going but still quiet. Next door is the Rogue Brewery and restaurant which has a fun tour and great food.
Also, just minutes from shopping and beaches as well as two lighthouses.

The rate was elevated due to 4th of July $20/night surcharge. We had not planned in advance and considered ourselves lucky to get anything. Once we got here we decided to extend our stay and had to move to the Annex for 2 more nights.
Coming South over the bridge we missed the exit since our GPS was directing us further south to a place for a U-turn. Southbound MUST take first exit over the bridge and down around under the bridge.
Excellent seafood restaurants less than 10 minutes away. Traffic can be a problem for a few minutes getting over the bridge.

Very close to old town Newport as well as the rest of the town. Blocks to the aquarium, walk to Rogue brewery and restaurant. Adjacent to marina so obviously works well for boaters and fishers. Well laid out, full hookups, only the lack of trees and space between sites make me give less than five stars. But this doesn’t make it worse than most private campgrounds.

The staff were great, pad was level, neighbors were cliquish. That’s ok though a lot of summer long big rigs, didn’t see many kids, no park for them to play. Can’t give 5 stars like most. The WiFi was the worst I have ever encountered since RVing how ever they do say in there literature that it is limited. In truth it is non existent. There is plenty to do a city bus stops at the office. Which has free tickets. Close to Rouge brewery and distillery which runs tours. If you like fishing or crabbing you’ll neon heaven.

This is an outstanding RV park, right in the marina. Love the smells, the sounds and people were exceedingly friendly. Everyone we encountered engaged in conversations. The camp host was incredibly nice, he was constantly checking up on us, and was a wealth of information on the area. Make sure you engage with him, a GREAT resource. Sites were really good sized, good spacing, plenty of room for my 40 footer and car. Hook ups were immaculate and solid. Roads were big and easy to navigate. The park has great access to walking paths, shops and restaurants, the aquarium (go check that out, so worth it). A quick drive up/down the coast on 101 and you have endless vistas and overlooks to stop at. Lots of breweries and other stuff like that around. We could say a week and not be bored.

It is a great place clean and well run. It could use some trees but with the wind I don’t think they would last here. The park is full of friendly people. We had no issues walking around and chatting with neighbors. We have a 30+ foot trailer and a one ton dually, we had no issues going through the park. Site was level and did not need to level our trailer side to side.
It did rain for 2 of our days we stayed and that was ok. But the lighthouse to the west of us played its fog horn. I was surprised that it didn’t sound like they do in the movies. It isn’t as loud. Just travel with ear plugs.
The WiFi being limited here is an understatement. It is unusable I work from the road and it is good that I get Verizon LTE service here, 6 by 3 meg speeds. This is the reason why I dropped a star.
The cable tv gives you the feeling that it was installed by cousin Eddy, because the sound didn’t work on the channels that had movies. Good thing for a hotspot. Though here you only need it when it is raining. Lots to do and see here.
We are here in June 2020 amid the covid virus. Most of the state parks are closed but the beaches are open. Food is available at most places for take out. Some for dine in too.
People here are friendly so come and visit.

This is a great stop at the Oregon Central Coast. The park is towards the end of town and sits right on the bay. We were able to watch the fishing boats come and go and talk with the fisherman. The sunsets are wonderful and the park is close to the Rogue Brewery and Distillery. Grab a pint of micro brew or a glass of their spirits. My favorite was the Farmhouse Pinot Gin you hardly need the tonic. The RV park is large with full hook-ups and has spots for boondocking in a neighboring parking lot. Even though you sit below the Newport Bridge the travel noise is minimal. We did not use the onsite laundry or rest rooms but they looked clean and nice. This RV Park is a don’t miss in my book. The reason for the 4 stars in site quality was they are a bit close together and not much grass or trees and no tables.
