“the original Sin City”

Before Las Vegas, there was Newport, KY. Monmouth Street was lined with upscale casinos drawing in the good - and bad - guys and gals. From the mafia to rich businessmen, Newport was a destination for fun, crime, and everything in between, earning the nickname of the original Sin City. Despite the inventor's lamenting at its gangster affiliation, the Tommy Gun was also invented in Newport, KY, at what is now called the Thompson House. All of this history is culminated and collected at the Northern Kentucky Gambling Museum, located right where all the action once occurred - Monmouth Street. Wanda Kay's Ghost Shop is now Located inside the museum and offers a gift & Souvenir shop!
