8 fireplaces- 7 of those are original. Original random width flooring on first floor. Built by a Quaker cousin of the Corbett ( Sharp) House in Odessa DE.
Owned by Lewden descendants until early 1930s. Then by Dr. Paul Winthrop until 1938.
Purchased 1938 by Col Howard & Mrs. Carolyn A. Greene.
Mrs. Greene gave the land that now comprises Lewden Greene Park to New Castle County for a park in the late 1960s. She sold the house to Adelaide & Peter Green
( unrelated Green) C 1968.
The house has had several owners since.
