Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 04, 2023This was was right off highway 69 and conveniently near the airport. It was wooded which minimized the highway noise. The front desk staff was always helpful. They would hold your mail at the office or we had the option to rent a mail box at the entrance of the park. The park itself is well maintained and the site was leveled. The are a lot of ducks in the park due to a feeding area and a pond. This means we had feathered visitors pooping on our concrete pad once in a while. This is an older park but felt it had charm because of that. Free Wifi was available throughout the park and we had great reception. Would stay here again. Verizon 4G LTE available. Price: $400 monthly INCLUDING electricity.

Cute, older park just off the 59 feeder. We stayed here for a month during Christmas time. We are 45ft long and it was a bit tight getting in and out but the short term spots are all pull-through. Office staff is super sweet and accommodating. We, our cats included, loved all the ducks, park cats, and the 1 red chicken wandering around. The animals weren’t rude, loud or aggressive. Most certainly recommend.

Front desk guy was awesome! Super nice and helpful. Campground was clean, garbage can at every site. There are ducks and cats that wander the park, but it was still very clean.
shower/bathroom setup was the best we've had on the trip, there are 2 unisex shower rooms, seeing it from the outside I definitely expected the usual campground shower area, but both are set up like an in home bathroom. Shower stall, toilet, sink, nice fixtures, artwork and greenery all behind a real locking door. Was quite a treat.
laundry was only $1.50 to wash $0.25 for 9 min on the dryer.
Short term sights are all pull thru. All sites are full hookup. There are a lot of permanent residents, and they tend to have the back in sites, the pull thrus were very close together but each had a cement pad, cute wooden patio and picnic table.
Didnt use the clubhouse but it looked cool, pool table, air hockey, football, & tv.
All in all a very nice park, only reason we wouldnt stay again is our dog thinks he could win a fight with a duck (he definitely couldnt) and we prefer back in sites.

Lone Star Lakes is run by folks who obviously take great pride in their facility. The restrooms/showers were always clean and in good order. They place trash cans in corals strategically near multiple sites and empty them daily. They even thought of lighting each sites utility pedestal for ease of use at night. The sites are paved and have a raised wooden deck with picnic table on them. There is a centrally located, air conditioned recreation room with tables and plenty of games for entertainment. We did not use the washer/dryer facilities but I have no doubt they are cared for as well as the rest of the campground. The pool was clean and fenced in for safety. Wifi was great with good speeds. Our Verizon service worked perfectly while there as well.
As others have said there are seasonal and long term residents but we have no complaints at all. Everyone was quiet, friendly and polite during our stay.
There are plenty of restaurants and stores withing just a few miles of the RV park. We tried Airi Poke & Ramen and Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream while we were there. They are only a few minutes from Big Rivers Waterpark. After seeing the campground that is across the street from Big Rivers I am glad we stayed here. So much shade vs none at all. The lake is beautiful and the ducks were fun and unafraid. We found them wandering near us quite often.
We have stayed in a few RV parks now and this one is at the top of our list. Thanks for a great stay!

Spaces are very long. Picnic table, deck, and grill for most spots. Highway noise it's only heard as white noise, nothing more from 2 nights here so far. Office staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Overall quiet and calm here. Easy access from/to highway right from feeder road, plenty of food, Walmart, etc. just up the street.
