“A clean, family-oriented campground”
Family pride is still of utmostimportance to all family members, as well as our employees. We pride ourselves in providing a clean and family-oriented campground. Since 1972, the campground has seen many improvements and repeat customers are many. The campground is situated on 25 acres with beautiful Guadalupe river frontage ... it's located in a scenic Texas hill country setting and on one of the best scenic routes in Texas (USA Today, June 3, 2011). We have a unique advantage over other nearby campgrounds and resorts as we can safely say we don't run out of room ... we have plenty of primitive "overflow" area. It's seldom that you will see a "no vacancy" sign hanging on our gate.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on February 19, 2018This place is huge...lots of RV camping, a fair amount of tent camping, restrooms, fully stocked store, a church...yes a church, party/event area with food/drink, and lots of grounds for events. I attended Troufest, which had huge tents for vendors and they had plenty of space. As for camping, I was able to fit my Teardrop in a tent site...they are fairly large tent sites. The two level riverside sites have an upper level for you car(s) and tent, and a lower level with a picnic table, firepit, BBQ, lantern hook, and steps to the river below. Many had their tents on the lower level...that would have been tight in site 18. The riverside sites are much more interesting than the others, which are fairly standard RV park sites with big drive thru's. Rest rooms and shows all over, the people were nice, and the fishing can be awesome...wasn't this trip! Tent sites have 30amp power, RV site have 50/30amp. Arrival experience was great...someone at the kiosk in the driveway went over instructions, checked us in, took our money and we were on our way. If you can...get the river sites!!! They do a lot of events, so is you need complete quiet...be sure you know what's going on while you're there. Or stay as far from the venue as possible.

We spent Feb. 2019 here as it is a good location between Austin and San Antonio. It is right on the Guadalupe River. Their very reasonable monthly rate included electric, which was nice. Our site 143 was fairly level, with full hookups. WiFi was the best we’ve ever had. No cable and Verizon service was non-existent so we used WiFi calling. The sites are nicely angled to allow for a bit more privacy but they are not all that wide. We had room for our 35’ MH and tow. There were quite a few winter Texans there and we seemed to be right in the middle of a group of partiers.
Staff was friendly. The river is beautiful. The riverside sites do not have sewer but they are very popular. We would stay here again.

This property was great! The sites are well spaced and large. Very clean. The staff was very friendly. We had a problem with our electrical box. It kept turning off. A friendly attendant came out and GAVE me a 30-50 amp converter. worked like a charm.
my only criticism is I was used to a shorter trip to the river. other than that, GREAT!

Had such a good time and family came out to join us for a day and made it even more special. The RV sites right on the river are so tight that privacy or quiet is not going to be found but we were prepared for it & just left our blinds down on the side that had a camper right next door. It's still unnerving though to hear/see neighbors right out the window. The only other issue would be the language used by these neighbors when there were small children everywhere. They obviously don't care what their youngsters hear but we don't like our kiddos being around that 24/7. Other than those 2 issues I still like this campground because of the views and tubing. Even their little store up front came in quite handy more than once.
We didn't see any other sites to choose from that were right on the river that offered more space so we will just be the right mindset that the fun we will still have is worth it. Wish K & L had some premium sites that offered this because we would be willing to pay more for some privacy. We don't want to stay in one of the bigger spaces in the field area & would rather stay in a site on the river. We also made good use of the docks they have down on the water and made some great memories.
