Located just east of Hwy 281 on Railroad Road just as you enter Greeley (next to two baseball fields and a good sized playground). RV sites are grass but the entire area is level. There are mature trees in the business end of the city park but only saplings marking the margins of the RV sites (I wonder if the field gets soft after rain)?
Rules/instructions are on the envelopes in the box by the entrance to the park. Once you select a site the $15 fee is delivered to the city village office across from the courthouse, in the same building as the library (The courthouse is on the other end of the village from the RV park,,you could walk there). From a gravel road encircling the ball fields, you back into the sites across grass - easy peasy as there is plenty of distance from the gravel road to the sites. As another reviewer noted, there are mostly 30 amp sites, and shared water spigots (we saw only 4 water spigots per 15 sites).
We were the only people staying (Sept 23 2020) so it was very very quiet. Noticed generators are to be off at 11 pm (We do not use one,,this is just an FYI). Trash cans in the park.
This is a cute little park - some mature trees in the distance, a nice walk around the ball fields was a great way to stretch the legs after a long day of driving. Greeley is a small town - population about 650 - and the county seat of Greeley County (clearly this is a sparsely populated county). There is a little grocery store, an Irish pub and grill (busiest place in town) , a gas station, two banks, at least 2 churches, and a few other miscellaneous businesses on two main "streets" (gravel streets). A good overnight rest spot but not much to do. Can walk the entire town in about an hour (lot of Irish named streets).
We were able to stream a movie using our Version Hot Spot and a cell phone booster. Electric was stable, water pressure good.
Honestly, when going across the country, we wish there were more city RV parks like this one!
