Cover to Cover Books & More opened for for business in 1991 as an independent bookstore located in the heart of the historic district of Natchez , Mississippi, the oldest city on the lower Mississippi River. Although a general bookstore, Cover to Cover specialized in regional Natchez, Mississippi, and Louisiana history; Civil War; and Southern authors. In 2000 Cover to Cover began enlarging its inventory to include, in addition to new books, used, out-of-print, and rare books. With this expansion our marketing efforts were also broadened to include the internet through the creation of a website and listing inventory on various major online bookselling venues. Over the years we have also hosted a large and diverse number of book events, including authors such as John Grisham, Greg Iles, Nevada Barr, and John Barry; artists Rolland Golden and Wyatt Waters; photographers Ken Murphy and Joe Mac Hudspeth; chefs Regina Charbonneau, Holly Clegg, and Robert St. John. Beginning in 2010, we began the Natchez Book Party, partnering with local restaurants to host our book events. Beginning in January, 2012, we closed our bricks and mortar store on Main Street moving our inventory primarily to the internet. Although our internet listings are diverse and growing, Cover to Cover as in the past continues to specialize in regional Natchez, Mississippi, and Louisiana history; Civil War; and Southern authors, offering fine books - new, used, out-of-print, and rare. We provide book search and special ordering services with free local delivery and we ship worldwide. As always, we buy gently used books. We host author signings, Natchez Book Party events, and participate in selected bookselling venues.
