Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 06, 2018A cool river flows past this site in an otherwise parched and hot land. Two vault toilets are kept clean and in order by the Hoodoo concessionaire that passes through every evening. The sites are nicely shaded and the campground is clean.
Water is available at a spigot, but it is full of rust and probably not potable.
We didn’t have reservations and stumbled upon this first come first serve campground. We set up for the night in site #4. We were along a cool river and felt very isolated even though we were right off the highway. I do have a complaint though. There were an unnatural amount of wasps that hovered over our vehicles. We were unable to be outside until it cooled off and they left for the night. They returned promptly in the morning. Just a heads up: No WiFi, no cell service, no hookups, but it was a beautiful location.

There were only a few sites in this small campground that could accommodate our 34' trailer plus truck, but #4 was right on the river and fit us nicely. It is also a huge site with lots of room to set up tents or just additional camping gear. Loved hearing the roaring river. Not too far from Nachez, which we went to for propane and a few other items. If you have a big rig, get there early or make a reservation. We had no cell or Wi-Fi service. There is some noise from the highway but the river covered most of it.

Not a very big campground but campsites are large and spacious, it's fairly quiet and relaxing too and you can hear the roaring water of the Tieton river as it's just right beside it.
