“Camping on the Chinook Pass”
Squaw Rock Resort has been a destination for families for many many decades. It's a unique property location on Chinook Pass and has catered to families looking for access to the river and mountains. We have the only outdoor heated pool on Chinook Pass and we are less than 30 minutes from the Mount Rainier National Park. We have a store onsite open seven days a week. We are central to many outdoor recreational activities including horseback riding, jeeping, rock hunting, snowmobiling, dirt bike riding and much more.

We stayed here 2 nights to go to Mt Ranier. Nice place. Beautiful river running behind it. No cell service. WiFi up by the office. 2 night minimum which I do t appreciate but it worked for us.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and that is a big deal to me. I had a great spot right next to the river. Wi-fi is available near the store/office.

August 2019 Class A 38 foot. This is decent place if you are coming to see Mount Rainier or looking for a weekend. Busy it’s over an hour to Sunrise Visitor Center. But there are some issues. First people at camp store are very nice and friendly. There was a wild fire near and where full of info about the fire. A lot of the sites are on the river. All have fire pits. They have a heated pool. Are for volleyball. They do have a shower house but didn’t use. They do have cabins and old school motel rooms. There is a restaurant next to the camp store. It isn’t ran by the campground, the lease the building to the restaurant. Food wasn’t bad, but little pricey.
Now the bad. No cell service. This may be what you’re looking for but as a full time rver not us. We still have a few bills that have to be paid. Sites are close. 39 wasn’t bad because you only have someone on your back side. Not all sites have sewer which is a deal breaker. But dump station was out of service. Flooded out the winter of 2018/2019. Guy said we could use a sites to dump that wasn’t being used but chose not too.

We stayed here over a 3 day weekend in the summer and had a good time here. Love the different ways to camp with the cabins that you can rent. It had a nice sized pool, but during 2020 it wasn't open. Some of the sites have direct River access ( the ones near the pool). One of the only cons to the campground is that some sites share power poles ( where you do a back in /pull thru and go slide to slide), at these sites they only have 1 50 amp plug, 1 30 amp plug and a 110 outlet. So you will want to make sure to have adapters depending on if you get to the power pole 1st (we had to adapt from 50 amp down to 30 amp)
They also have a nice swimming hole at the end of the campground where you can do some safe wading and light body surfing as well as being close to Bumping Lake. We filmed a couple vlog videos here for our Youtube channel and would come back. We also filmed a complete site by site campground review as well. - Unique Adventurez

The staff is super friendly, especially Erin! She made our one night stay very pleasant and was extremely helpful. The facilities are clean and easy to get to. We look forward to coming back.

We made reservations for this place a long time ago over the phone. No receipt ever mailed to us. We had severe weather last night, so we cancelled the reservation. We called today at 12pm to cancel our reservation for tomorrow. They insisted that they are still charging us. BUYER BEWARE. THE OWNER ALSO CURSED AT ME OVER THE PHONE and SAID "YOU PEOPLE ALWAYS THINK YOU CAN CANCEL AND TAKE MONEY FROM ME". This is OBSURD. Myself, my in-laws and our friends will never book there again.
We love it at Squaw Rock! See you there this summer!
Squaw Rock is lovely! Pool is open during the summer. There are several campsites right on the Naches River. Power and water at all campsites. Cabins, and Motel rooms also available. The little store is fun - time for a Hot Pocket, or some candy. Toss some quarters in the pool and have everyone dive for "candy money". Make some memories with your kids!
