“I want the hole story”
The Happy Donut opened January 14, 2008. Owners Ray and Kathy Roden opened the store with their Daughter Paulette and Son-In- Law Brian. The Happy Donut name came from Brian and Paulette's son Elias who also named their dog (Flowergirl), but they liked the name and it stuck. The Happy Donut is usually a four man crew. Brian and employee Carrie Mosher do all the baking. They start around 11pm. Donuts if you don't know, are a long process. From start to finish, a raised donut takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. So they are hard at work, while others are dreaming of our donuts. Ray and Paulette run the counter and do the books for the shop. When Kathy is in town, she is the official greeter. She also helps with cleaning chores and promotional events. Brian is also our wholesale manager. In March of 2013, The Happy Donut moved their shop,after 5 years, into a great new location off the I-5 exit 103. They now have a drive-thru and a beautiful view of the valley. Right now we currently have about 10 big accounts we deliver to in the area daily. The Happy Donut is well known in the area for our Fritters, "Conquer the Fritter, "Free Fritter Friday," Our Signature Baked Sausage Rolls and our NEW Blueberry Donut Holes. FRESH DONUTS DAILY is something that The Happy Donut takes great pride in. So come in, enjoy, and eat with family!! Thank you for your continued support!!
