“redefining the casual dining experience since 1975”
The Hearthstone, founded by Frank and Gina Lister in 1975, is renown as one of West Michigan's top dining destinations. The casual European Bistro features timeless Bistro Classics as well as contemporary creative cuisine utilizing fresh, local, natural ingredients. Over the years, the Hearthstone's experienced and dedicated team have garnered accolades and awards for unparalleled service and cuisine alike. Chef / Owner Gina Lister's passion for her craft and commitment to excellence is embodied by the restaurant's talented and dedicated culinary team headed by Executive Chef Josh Sandberg. They are committed to using fresh ingredients, locally sourced and creatively interpreted. Specialties include bistro classics such as Steak Frites, Mussels, Croque Monsieur, Crepes, and Créme Brûlée as well as contemporary American favorites including Tomahawk Ribeye Steak, Macaroni and cheese, Hamburgers and Almond /Brioche Crumbed Lake Perch. The restaurant is also renown for it's creative salads, sandwiches and handcrafted soups which are featured daily in addition to Gratinéed French Onion and Cheddar/Ale with Popcorn. Housemade Crème Brulee, Banana Pecan Chocolate Bread Pudding and Peanut Butter Mascarpone Mousse Pie are also offered. As approachable as the food, the wines have been handpicked to offer our guests easy, reasonably priced drinkable wines from California, Michigan and Europe, either by the glass or by the bottle. The restaurant also features Belgian & American Craft Beers, Signature Cocktails and Aperitif. Guests may enjoy dining in the relaxed, inviting, romantic ambiance of the Bistro or outdoors in the lush European inspired Garden Terrace in season. Private Dining is also available in Suite 24, a warm, intimate space that can accommodate up to 40 guests. The Hearthstone's Banquet and Catering Department offers corporate catering services as well as full service Banquets. Our reputation rests with our always praised explemplary guest service and beautifully prepared menu items.
