Confirmed by 9 users | Last reported on July 04, 2023When we first pulled in, it reminded us of back home (Ohio) BUT for the mountains far off. We settled at a nice, huge, open spot on the river. Pay attention to the pelicans soaring above and be sure to check out the plenty of fish (assuming trout) in the river. Very quiet.

Very peaceful place with nicely paved roads inside the rec area. there is about a mile of dirt that was ok. there are 2 entrances, make sure you use the western one to avoid the low bridge. the spots are quite large, level and most seem to have their own vault toilet. It is an easy 10 min drive into town with all the modern amenities. Also, stopped by the fairgrounds because they offer free sewer dump with potable water. Easy in/out.
only downside was really something that I noticed only on arrival day. Milner is surrounded by agriculture, so the stench of manure was heavy. I suspect they recently sprayed the crops. The following days the winds must have been in my favor, because it was barely noticeable. Had it stuck around, I would have left or stayed indoors... it was that bad.
cellular internet was wonderful (ping, download, upload).
tmobile (33, 29Mbps, 13Mbps)
verizon w/o mimo (50, 39Mbps, 2Mbps)
verizon w/mimo (64, 60Mpbs, 35Mbps)
I would stay here again.

We arrived here in mid March 2018. We were the only ones in the entire campground. Fairly easy access for under 30' rigs. I wouldn't want to bring in anything bigger due to trying to find a level spot. There is quite a bit of garbage blown around despite have garbage cans throughout the campground. All in all a nice spot right on the snake river. For $5 a night I would say it's a bargain. Services only about 10 miles away.

Absolutely gorgeous, and a huge disappointment that it was swarming with gnats. I mean serious swarming, not just a few here and there. Had to leave. Verizon 4G worked fine. Maybe it's just the time of year (June 16, 2018), so it will be interesting to see if any further reviews mention gnats.

You definitely want to take the second entrance in here as there is an 11 foot bridge on the 1st entrance. We had a nice level spot with its own boat dock that's absolutely beautiful. Down side to this park is it's where the kids come out to party at night. That probably explains the entire bag of rubbish we picked up when we got here even though there's a dumpster less than a hundred yards from the spot. We were going to stay a couple more days but last night someone tried to break into the truck. I was told by a local that this is not a great place on the weekend as of just becomes a loud and rowdy party spot.

We arrived to a mostly empty campground. We had a large number of sites to choose from. They were almost all filled with trash including dirty diapers and feces. There were swarms of flies everywhere. Restrooms were unusable due to the flies. Sadly, we had to leave. If you are in an RV and don't plan to get out, ever, this might work for you.

The first night we arrived the camp was a mess. We cleaned it up and considered staying there the full 14 days. It was a beautiful location!
Night two: It was Friday night. Locals used the roads as a drift course ALL NIGHT LONG! Then the smell! Oh it was horrid! It smelled of Agricultural and cow manure! It was so fierce, our kids actually got sick.
Day 3: We met the ranger who was irritated with the permacampers and the amount of trash. She had a full truck bed and had only been through a few sites.
Day 4: We decided it was time to relocate. The issues continued the entire time we were there.
Day 5: We packed and left.
I wouldn’t recommend this location. Price point is good if you’re on a budget but the locals are extremely inconsiderate. We also had cars drive by our camp with no headlights on. They parked down the way from us and quietly closed their doors. We let out our German Shepard and they quickly got back on their car. Later, I read on Campendium the review that someone tried to break into their truck. We were camping a few sites down. Scary place

The Snake River and Oregon Trail come together to make for a relaxing stay with more to explore than expected. Lots of fish, birds, bugs, and yes, mice - they seem to be leaving our RV alone.
Yes when the wind is right the smell can be unpleasant from the nearby, yet unseen, feedlot.
Make sure you come in the west entrance, the east entrance has an 11' low clearance railroad overpass. While here we never heard/saw a train come through.
Cellular - ATT is just eh: down/up 1.96/11.6, it is much better near the entrance, on the ridge was 32/5.06
Verizon was excellent: down/up 53.1/29
updated: we did pick up a mouse, as did our neighbors; fortunately we both got rid of our newest traveling companions quickly.

Access Road is slightly washboarded but it is short so this is accessible by everyone. The eastern entrance does have a low 11' underpass. The Oregon trail passed right through the park which is very cool. The campsites are spread out. Pit toilets are within easy walking distance of each site. Our site was fairly clean. Someone had left trash in the fire pit even though there was a dumpster about 20 yards away. People can be terrible.
The wildlife along this section of the Snake River is abundant. Tons of wildlife. We saw lots of hawks, pelicans, fish, small birds, snakes, and a river otter. So much wildlife that we got the crap scared out of us in the middle of the night when something crashed into the hood of our rig followed by loud screeches. We found small footprints the next morning on the hood so I'm guessing a hawk or owl caught a late-night snack.
Great spot for $5/night.
