The Buckhorn Resort

The Buckhorn Resort and its restaurant overlook Hovey Lake, just footsteps from miles of trails for ATV riding, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, or horseback riding.  Hovey Lake is beautiful and secluded, offering tourists 99 acres of activities, including fishing, hunting, canoeing, and nature observing.The resort itself is located on Buckhorn Road just 4 miles east from Michigan Highway 94 or 5 miles west of Forest Highway 13, and less than 10 miles south of Munising.  The Munising area offers outdoor fun and activities no matter what the season.Spring, summer, fall, and winter will find you enjoying the beautiful forest or Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.Whether you enjoy ATV riding, hiking, biking, horseback riding, boating, fishing, hunting or just relaxing by the water, the Buckhorn Resort is your place!  In winter, snowmobile enthusiasts will enjoy riding right from the Buckhorn Resort to over 1,000 miles of trails in the Upper Penninsula.  If you prefer cross country skiing or snowshoeing, our area has many trails to offer for you to explore.
