We planned on staying here one night after a long drive, but ended up staying 2. The hosts were friendly & helpful (and really on top of making sure you’ve paid at the entrance, after you’ve found a spot), the sites were level, and the campground is extremely convenient to Yellowstone’s West Entrance. There is ZERO Verizon cell service here, but we found out that there isn’t much coverage in the surrounding area either - unless you are actually in town. The park was full by the end of the night, Labor Day Monday, but campers were quiet and the few generators running were off before 10. There is some noise from the highway, but nothing that kept us awake. We would stay again for a night or two.

We got the last site available on a Thursday night-dry camp for 8$ with senior pass. Very friendly and helpful campground host. We moved to an electric site for our second night and paid 23$. Not bad considering RV sites in West Yellowstone run 47$ to 88$ a night during the peak season. Clean restroom and fresh water available. Got good reception for a Verizon Wi-Fi from site 61. Would definitely stay here again.

The campground is lovely and a great alternative to the overcrowded camps in Yellowstone but I wish it was a bit further from Highway 191 and the airport. Traffic never stops on the highway so you end up listening to large semi trucks barreling down the road at all hours. I tend to gravitate to the loop on the right, sites 1-23, as they are smaller and more shaded. The camp roads are paved and the campsites are gravel. Most are level and wide, easy to maneuver your RV into. Tables and fire rings are in good condition and most sites have their own bear box for storage. Bathrooms are always spotless and drinking water is available at several taps located throughout the camp. The camp hosts are almost always on duty and patrolling the camp. They also have firewood for sale if needed. Or you can take a short drive down any of the access roads on the opposite side of the highway to collect your own firewood.
Cell service can be spotty at best - it seems to change based on the day of the week, moon phase, and barometric pressure.

We stayed here for 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend to visit West Yellowstone. This campground is less than 5 minutes from the west entrance and the little town of West Yellowstone. This was the perfect base for exploring. Access to town with stores, gas, restaurants and the park was incredibly easy. Got here around 4pm on a holiday weekend and had our choice of several open sites. There are a handful of electric sites ($28/night), but those were taken. Sites are spacious with tree cover for privacy. Water spigots, no dump station.

No usable cell service with or without booster. Drive 2 mins up the road to West Yellowstone for full bars on Verizon.

We stayed at Bakers Hole for four nights in two spots with family. Our spot was 15 (family had 13) and it was a great location! There was a hiking path right off our site. We were closer to the highway but the noise honestly didn’t bother us. We were gone all day anyway, and at night we hardly heard it. No hookups at our site, but there’s water at the entrance for filling the trailer. My least favorite part was how far the dumpsters were from our site! Inconvenient but not a problem. We drove around the entire campground for a spot and enjoyed that side. The river is fun to play in too! Camp hosts are great and organized. And it’s so close to West Yellowstone and the park itself - it’s great!

We stayed here for a week in early September’22 and can’t wait to get back after Labor Day! The camp hosts, Jack and Mary Ann are so welcoming and host an evening campfire where singers and players are welcome.

Convenient to West Yellowstone
It is the middle of July and we got here at 2 PM just to get one of the last two non-electric sites (#64). Not the best site, but fine for an overnight stay. Some sites are pull- thru and others are back in. Also if you get lucky you might get a site with electric ($8 extra - no discounts). The non-electric sites are $20 and with the interagency senior or access pass $10. The electric sites are $28 and with the same senior or access pass $18. Most of the sites are in the forest and not too close together. Vault toilets, spigots, fire rings in each site plus a picnic tables are the only amenities. No dump station, but we did see a spigot for an RV fill near the exit. The camp host was friendly, very quick and seemed in a hurry. Some of the sites are pretty close to the highway and will have some road noise others do not. Normally I would have given the campground 3 stars for being pretty basic and missing the dump station, but the location right outside of Yellowstone at a reasonable price made it 4 stars to me. A great location to explore parts of Yellowstone!

Last week of August 2019 visit to Yellowstone. Bakers Hole Campground is $10 with a National Park Access Pass.

The very picturesque Madison River flows on the boundary of the campground just 50 yards from my campsite. Great camp hosts, friendly and knowledgeable about Yellowstone Park and the town of West Yellowstone, MT. Really clean vault toilets, potable water at several locations. Lots of shade so not bad solar but not great. Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in town of West Yellowstone provides an RV Dump and Potable Water for $10.

The West entrance to the park is only 3.7 miles away making it convenient for day trips to Yellowstone. Highway 191 is close to campsites proving quick easy access but there is some highway noise especially if you're in camp during the day. Hardly noticed any noise at night.
Good location and price if your mainly interested in visiting YellowStone.

Absolutely loved staying here! It’s only ~3 miles to the W. entrance of Yellowstone and right along lower Madison river. Campsite is very clean and spots are spread out and big enough for fifth wheels.
The camp hosts are THE BEST and so helpful. We came on a Monday at 11am and couldn’t find a spot so they helped us find out who was leaving since checkout isn’t until 2pm.
You can swim and fish in the river here.
The town of West Yellowstone is small but nice. Tons of clothes/gift shops, diesel gas stations, a small (expensive) grocery store, but it works. Highly recommend Firehole bbq and stay away from the VERY overpriced McDonald’s (I’m from Cali and even saying that).
